A Swedish record for online slot jackpots won on Mega Moolah
It has been something of a busy week for Microgaming, not content with continuing to release an exciting number of new games, and a big Mega Jackpot win, this time by a player from Sweden.
The new games includes some cracking games, such as the likes of Break Away Lucky Wilds, Wolf Howl and the latest 3 Tiny Gods slots, the company has also been in the news for plenty of other positive items too, not least a huge Mega Moolah jackpot win worth over 14 million euros!
More details confirmed of August 17 Mega Moolah winner
You may remember that we were the first site to bring you details of the latest big Mega Moolah winner who landed their prize on the 17th August 2020. That news came just a short time after the jackpot was claimed and so there were few details available at the time about the winner, where they were based and which casino landed the big jackpot prize.
Well just a short time later, we have had confirmation through that the latest jackpot winner is going to remain anonymous, which is not surprising as the vast majority of the big money winners on Mega Moolah do precisely that, but we can confirm that the final calculations for the jackpot bonus is in and we do have some more information about the latest winner.
The jackpot was won at a total amount of €14,239,532.84 on the 17th August 2020 by a player based in Sweden. The lucky winner landed his prize while playing at Lucky Casino and, perhaps unsurprisingly, this latest winner is the highest-ever cash prize won playing at this particular casino. It is also one of the largest slot prizes ever won in Sweden and it is thought to be a new record win for an online slot for the country.
Speaking about the Swedish winner Andrew Booth, the Director of Games at Microgaming commented:
"Congratulations to Lucky Casino and their player on the tremendous win through Microgaming's Mega Moolah. The win marks the largest euro jackpot win in Sweden through our progressive jackpot network! Mega Moolah continues to be a favourite among players worldwide, and we are thrilled to add even more progressive games to the jackpot and network this year!"
Few other details about the lucky winner exist but we do know that this lucky player was the eighth to become an instant millionaire playing progressive jackpot slots on the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot network and he was the fifth winner of 2020 on the Mega Moolah progressive. As with all Mega Moolah winners, the player will receive their cash prize in full as a single lump sum payment.
Perhaps what was more incredible about this win was that it came a short time after Microgaming had announced a number of new progressive jackpot slot games were set for an imminent release in 2020. This includes two new Wowpot Progressive Jackpot slots in Sisters of Oz Wowpot and Book of Atem Wowpot, as well as two brand new Mega Moolah slots, Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah and Juicy Joker Mega Moolah.
In addition to this, a new game, African Legends, is set for release later this year which will be tied exclusively to the Wowpot Major Jackpot prize (which is seeded at £50,000 and which has already paid out numerous cash prizes of over £100,000 and £200,000 since the game was released back in February 2020.
With the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize now already well past the two million mark and with Wowpot offering a 5 million prize and a jackpot of over £1.1 million available on King Cashalot too, there is still plenty of big money to be won on Microgaming's biggest progressive jackpot titles.
Microgaming Announce Four Big New Partnership Deals in Past Month
Alongside the release of new slot games and the Mega Moolah jackpot prize winner, Microgaming have been busy over the past month or so securing a number of new partnership deals with companies to add to their already expansive content aggregation platform.
Content aggregation deals allow Microgaming casinos to carry additional games from other providers alongside the traditional Microgaming offering and not only does this appeal to casinos who obviously get more games to offer customers when they strike a deal with the Isle of Man-based company, but it also works well for Microgaming as it makes them a more appealing slot supplier for casinos.
Meanwhile, the companies agreeing the deal with Microgaming benefit from the outstanding reputation the company has fostered over the past 25 years or so in the online gaming industry. It is generally a win/win/win situation for everybody concerned.
The first deal announced back in July was an interesting deal with Unikrn, an eSports betting site that offers a wide range of services, but it is the companies Unikrn Virtual service that Microgaming will be focusing on, which allows players to place bets on Virtual Esports games, in the same way that they can on Virtual Sports games.
A short time later, Microgaming announced another content aggregation deal this time with the premium slots site Stakelogic. The deal will see Microgaming casinos allowed to carry the full range of Stakelogic games which includes the like of Dice on Fire, Book of Anubis, Fruits Gone Wild and Lord of Darkness amongst many others.
Then in early August, Microgaming announced that they had penned a new deal with Eyecon, one of the leading game studios in the world, for the entire suite of Eyecon games to be made available through Microgaming casinos. This includes many Eyecon favourites such as Shaman's Dream, Temple of Iris and Fluffy Favourites.
And just in this past week, Microgaming have announced that they have signed a distribution deal with casino content company Hacksaw Gaming. This means that casinos that carry Microgaming games will now be able to offer Hacksaw Gaming slots and games too including the likes of Stick'Em, Cubes and Scratch Platinum. These games are set to be released across Microgaming casinos in quarter 3 of the year.
Speaking about the deal the commercial manager at Microgaming, Leon Thomas, remarked:
"We are pleased to welcome the latest addition to our growing network of content partners. Hacksaw Gaming are a new provider on the scene, and we are keen to explore how their innovative approach to casino content will enhance our offering at Microgaming."
So with brand new content aggregation deals, massive jackpot winners and a slew of new releases on the horizon, it is an exciting time to be a customer at any popular Microgaming-powered casino!
