Casino Rewards free spin chances offer on Mega Moolah is changing

For many years now, a number of Casino Rewards Network Casinos have enjoyed immense popularity thanks to their great value starter bonus. In particular, those casinos that have offered customers the chance to play their bonus cash as spins on the hugely popular Mega Moolah progressive jackpot slot.

The chance to play the original game, that has a top progressive prize seeded at 1 million and which often sees its Mega jackpot prize to far in excess of that, has often been as big of a draw to customers as the bonus offer itself. At time of writing the progressive prize is nearing 8 million!

However, as part of a new strategy at the Casino Rewards group, there are a number of changes being made to the games and spins offered as part of the starter deals at casinos that are a part of the famous group.

What are the changes to the Casino Rewards Network starter offers?

The first thing to note is that the changes only affect starter bonuses at casinos which offer bonus spins (or Chances) as part of their welcome offer. For casinos that offer bonus cash in the form of matched deposit bonuses, their offers will remain unchanged for the time being.

However, for casinos like Captain Cook's Casino, Grand Mondial Casino and Zodiac Casino, there will be changes made to their "Chances" offers - which you can see on the Where to Play page.

Originally, these offers were framed as being chances, or spins, to play the original Mega Moolah slot. Players make a qualifying deposit (which was 1.00 at Zodiac Casino, 5.00 at Captain Cooks Casino and 10.00 at Grand Mondial Casino) and for that received an amount of bonus cash in their account (20.00, 25.00 or 37.50 depending on the offer) which they could then use to play 80, 100 or 150 spins of the original Mega Moolah slot at 0.25 per spin.

However, for the new bonus, there are two key changes to this process.

  1. While the qualifying deposit amounts will remain the same, the bonus will be applied to the players account as spins, rather than as bonus cash.
  2. The game on which the player will receive their 80, 100 or 150 spins will be the Casino Rewards Exclusive Mega Vault Millionaire slot, rather than the original Mega Moolah slot.

The secondary part of each sites starter bonus, which involves players receiving Matched Deposit Bonuses of varying amounts on their second (or subsequent) deposits with the casino will remain unchanged.

Why the change from Mega Moolah to Mega Vault Millionaire?

One question players may be asking is why the new offer has seen the switch from the Mega Moolah slot towards Mega Vault Millionaire game?

The first thing to note is that both slots offer players the exact same chance to win any of the four Mega Moolah progressive jackpot network prizes. Both games start at 0.25 per spin and both games offer a special Jackpot Bonus Game, which can trigger randomly on any spin, in order to give players a chance to spin to win the jackpot prize.

On Mega Moolah this took the form of a single Jackpot Wheel, but on Mega Vault Millionaire, players will spin up to three reels, with the jackpots available to be won increasing with each wheel spun, in order to claim their prize.

It's important to note here that although both Jackpot Bonus Games on Mega Moolah and Mega Vault Millionaire are different, both offer players exactly the same chance to win any of the four jackpot prize. You are not penalised or given an advantage playing one of these bonus games or slots over the other.

It is also fair to say that while both games are on very different themes, a safari theme for the original Mega Moolah, and a wealth, banking theme for Mega Vault Millionaire, they actually play in a very similar way and award very similar prizes in the base game. Both also have similar features in the game, such as Wild symbols and Free Spins bonus games.

However, the move to switch to Mega Vault Millionaire slot does make sense for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is a newer game and it has a more modern look and feel. The biggest factor though is the fact that Mega Vault Millionaire is an exclusive game. It can only be found on Casino Rewards casinos and the company have invested a lot of time and effort securing this exclusivity deal with Microgaming. As such, it makes sense for the company to get its new players to play one of the games that they feel is one of the most appealing reasons for joining the site.

Why the change from bonus cash to actual bonus spins on Mega Vault Millionaire?

With the original offers, when players were awarded bonus cash in their accounts, the offer only suggested that they could spend that money playing the Mega Moolah slot at 0.25 per spin. There was no actual requirement for the player to do so, although of course a great many did as the chance to play the famous Mega Moolah slot so cheaply does not come along very often.

But a significant number of players also discovered that you could spend your bonus cash on other slot games on your site and as such, it becomes difficult for any casino to then calculate their risk effectively, especially with players playing a wide variety of slot games with the same bonus.

It also means that different players can have very different experiences when signing up at a casino and perhaps that is not the fairest way to do things.

By unifying the offer in this way, the Casino Rewards casinos now know that every starter bonus will be played on Mega Vault Millionaire and that all the bonus funds used for those spins will be played on that slot alone. That makes it more uniform and easier to understand for the player, as well as easier to calculate the cost of the offer for the casino.

It also simplifies the bonus as many people assumed anyway that the 80, 100 or 150 Chances prizes were bonus spins on the Mega Moolah slot, even when they actually were not. This change now makes that indubitably the case.

Are there any changes to the second part of these bonuses, the Matched Deposit Bonuses?

No, the good news for customers at casinos that offer bonus spins as part of a welcome offer, is that the matched deposit part of their welcome bonus, which is payable on the second and possibly other subsequent deposits, remains unchanged. You can still earn yourself another excellent bonus cash amount when you deposit for a second time with your chosen casino.

Furthermore, this bonus is not limited to the Mega Vault Millionaire slot and you are free to use this other bonus on any games on your chosen site, including of course, the original Mega Moolah slot.

Has anybody ever won the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot playing a bonus?

Yes, there are a number of documented cases where a player that has been playing through a starter bonus on a site has landed a top Mega Moolah jackpot prize.

One of the best documented wins was a win of CA$8,453,754 in January 2017, when the lucky player landed their win while partaking in the Captain Cook's Casino 100 Chances to Become a Millionaire offer.

Other players have landed Major Jackpot wins, which can often reach tens if not hundreds of thousands in value.

It is important to note here that all bonus spins on Mega Vault Millionaire will be played as if they were real cash spins and you are not penalised in any way because they are introductory offer spins. They are just as likely to provide you with a win as a comparable real money spin you would make.

So as you can see, while there are some changes being made to the bonus spins offers at Casino Rewards, they still offer players a great deal, it is just simpler to follow, more uniform for all players and still gives you a fantastic opportunity to play a stellar Mega Moolah progressive linked slot at a greatly reduced price.

We will be updating all the Casino Rewards offer pages shortly with this new offer on Mega Vault Millionaire.
