Casino Rewards Treasure Quest slot offers 243 Ways to Win and a big jackpot
Many years ago when Amiga gaming was all the rage there was a game devised called Pirates! which used maps of ancient Caribbean islands and allowed you to trade and battle your way to profit against the different nations seeking to colonise the area, as well as the brigands of the sea. I used to enjoy that game a lot and its stylings have been brought to life again in the new Casino Rewards exclusive Treasure Quest slot by Microgaming.
Joining games like Roar of Thunder, Casino Rewards Millionaires Club, Immortal Creatures and the Mega Vault Millionaire progressive jackpot slot, the Treasure Quest slot is a low to mid variance game that offers 243 Ways to Win across its five reels. Spins start at 0.30 per spin but you can ramp up the action to 24.00 per spin if you prefer.
Set in those hedonistic days of adventure and featuring variety of plundered treasures on the reels, the Treasure Quest slot offers Casino Rewards player another opportunity to play a game that cannot be played anywhere else.
The question is, would you want to play it? So we decided to take a closer look to find out.

Presentation
The presentation of the slot is simply done. The backdrop to the game is what looks like an ancient treasure map of some far-off land with lines on it suggesting routes to treasures long since buried. The reels are superimposed over the top of the map and are semi-transparent. The main controls of the reels are at the foot of the screen.
The animations and graphics are nicely done but in truth, nothing particularly spectacular and the same can be said for the musical accompaniment and sounds that are part of the game, they are nicely done but again, there are other games around that have been rather more ambitious in their outlook.
Also at a minimum bet of 0.30 per spin, it is one of the more expensive newer slots to hit the market in recent times for lower stakes players.

What is on the reels?
There are a total of 10 symbols on the reels, this includes the compass Scatter symbol and the map Wild symbol, both of which unlock the main features of the game and will be discussed in more detail in the sections below.
The lower value symbols on the reel are the four playing card symbols, the Jack, Queen, King and Ace. Wins on these symbols range from a very small 1/15th of your total bet, to 2x your total bet as winnings.
Higher value symbols include a scorpion encased in amber, a golden cat, a monkey idol and a wolf shield. Wins on these symbols range from a third of your total bet up to around 8.3x your total bet. Symbols aren't stacked on the reels, although you can land stacked Wilds to help you pick up more wins.
Wild features
The Wild symbol is a Map and it is easy to recognise as it has Wild emblazoned across it. It is the only symbol that can appear on the reels stacked three high and as a result, it is a significant part of the base game, often playing a part in the better value wins that you can land.
As the Wild can be landed across all five reels it also offers a pay out across the reels and these are amongst the best value wins in the game ranging from 1.66x your bet up to 16.6x your bet.
Free Spins features
The Compass Scatter symbol is the key to the Free Spins bonus round. If you land two Scatters then you win a cash prize but if you land three or more across the reels, then you will also trigger an increasing cash prize from 1x to 200x your bet. In addition, you will trigger the Free Spins bonus round.
In this bonus round you get to pick which one of four different Free Spins bonus rounds. Each Free Spins comes with a different multiplier level and also different height stacks of symbols.
- North Free Spins - 8 Free Spins with a 5x multiplier and 3 symbol stacks.
- East Free Spins - 10 Free Spins with a 4x multiplier and 4 symbol stacks
- South Free Spins - 14 Free Spins with a 3x multiplier and 5 symbol stacks
- West Free Spins - 18 Free Spins with a 2x multiplier and 6 symbol stacks.
The good news is that you can re-trigger the Free Spins bonus from within your Free Spins, which is always a positive.
Best feature of the Treasure Quest slot
Although the base game has a couple of nice touches with the Stacked Wilds playing a prominent role, there is no doubt that for the bigger value wins in this game, the choice of Free Spins options available to you is the best feature. For me, I feel the two middle options, East and South Free Spins offer the most likelihood of a better value win, North can be a very variable payout, while West tends to see more consistent but lower value wins. However, all four games are well worth a closer look when you trigger the bonus.
Conclusion
Treasure Quest is a nice addition to the exclusive range of games you can find at Casino Rewards Network casinos. It has many elements similar to some of the top progressive games (10 symbols, stacked Wilds, simple base game) but then adds 243 Ways to Win and four different Free Spins bonuses to pick from, which do give it something different to appreciate. The one down side is the size of some of the lower value wins, which can be extremely small, (1/15th of your bet is probably the lowest pay out I have seen on a slot) so you really need to get those 4 and 5 symbol wins going in order to land a win on the slot. If you can, or if you trigger the Free Spins bonus rounds, then your chances of a better win improve appreciably.
