Casino Rewards winners: June 2020

In both April and May 2020, we have seen a higher than usual number of winners on the Casino Rewards Network when it came to the sites progressive jackpot selection of games. A total of 89 players landed top jackpot prizes across both those months (50 in April, 39 in May) and I suppose that it is only natural that at some point things had to return to more standard wins and that is what occurred in June with 32 winners.

That is the joint lowest number of winners in a month of 2020, equalling the number of winners in February, however even taking that into account, it still means that a big progressive jackpot prize was paid out by the Casino Rewards Network on average just over once per day.

We have also seen the same games paying out the big money winners most often each month and that continued in June 2020 with games like Mega Vault Millionaire, Cash Splash, Treasure Nile, the Mega Moolah slot and the Atlantean Treasures slot being the ones to have paid out some sizable prizes, although we didn't see the top Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize, the Mega Jackpot, landed in the month sadly.

That is perhaps not surprising given that we saw three Mega Jackpot triggers in May 2020, and it has meant that the jackpot has climbed from just over 2 million to now over 8 million and rising quickly towards another hefty jackpot prize, which could of course be claimed by someone in July.

June's data could also be the last that we see like this for a while. Early in July, the Casino Rewards Network announced some significant changes to its starter offers, which includes all Free Spins or Bonus Spins bonuses now being credited as Spins on the stated game, which most often will be the Casino Rewards Exclusive Mega Vault Millionaire slot. As such, I would expect to see more winners on this particular Mega Moolah powered slot, compared to the other games in the series that you can play at Casino Rewards Network sites.

Indeed, June's data shows a number of decent Major Jackpot winners landed on the Mega Vault Millionaire slot, which is following the trend set in earlier months and it is starting to become increasingly apparent that this new game is now gaining a real foothold with Casino Rewards group customers and lovers of the Mega Moolah progressive network.

So despite there not being quite so many winners in June 2020 as there have been in the previous two months, it was still a good month for players and once again, the largest prize awarded on the Casino Rewards Network in 2020 was broken for the second month in succession. Let's take a closer look at the details with the main headline news.

Casino Rewards pay outs in June 2020

• There were no Mega Moolah jackpot wins throughout June 2020 at any casino in the network or indeed any casino outside of it. That means that we have still had just four Mega Moolah progressive jackpot winners in 2020 in total. However, we have seen a number of Major jackpot winners throughout the month on the three Mega Moolah slots available at Casino Rewards Network establishments, Mega Moolah, Mega Vault Millionaire and Atlantean Treasures.
• There were a total of 32 winners in June 2020, the smallest number of the year level with February 2020 in terms of the number of winners. April 2020 had the most with 51 winners across the month.
• Despite having the fewest wins in a month, June 2020 has seen the largest single jackpot win of 2020 on the Casino Rewards Network when one player landed a prize of over €219,594 on the 5^th June 2020 while playing the Treasure Nile slot. This comfortably beats the previous record of over CA$187,000 which was won last month on the same slot.
• Wins were generally spread out pretty evenly throughout June although there were a number of dates which saw more winners than usual. The luckiest date of the month was the 18^th June, as this saw four jackpot winners land their prize, three on the Cash Splash slot and one on the Mega Moolah slot. After the 18^th, the next luckiest day was the 26^th June which saw three jackpot winners landed on the Cash Splash, Mega Moolah and Mega Vault Millionaire slots.
• There were two winners claimed on the 2^nd, 5^th, 6^th, 10^th, 14^th, 16^th, 17^th and 27^th
• A single jackpot prize was claimed on the 3^rd, 7^th, 8^th, 13^th, 19^th, 23^rd, 24^th, 25^th and 30^th
• There were a higher number of days which didn't see any jackpot winners in June 2020. These dates were the 1^st, 4^th, 9^th, 11^th, 12^th, 15^th, 20^th, 21^st, 22^nd, 28^th and 29^th
• There were more winners landed towards the second half of June than in the first half of the month. We saw 14 winners landed from the 1^st to the 15^th June with 18 winners landed in the period from the 16^th to the 30^th
• Over a third of the winners in June 2020 were landed in the seven days from the 13^th to the 18^th (12 winners over that time in total).
• The smallest jackpot of the month was a prize of CA$5,307 which was won on the Cash Splash slot at Golden Tiger Mobile Casino on the 18^th

Which Casinos and Games Generated Big Winners in June 2020?

Grand Mondial was the casino that produced the highest number of big money winners of all Casino Rewards Network casinos in June. Having produced seven winners last month, it increased that to eight in June to finish well clear of a clutch of casinos in second place with four winners each including Captain Cooks, Yukon Gold and Quatro Casino.

One fewer casino paid out a winner in June 2020 compared to either of the two months previous to it but on a positive note, the re-released Casino Kingdom saw its first big money winner since it was revamped and re-released as part of the network during the month. There was a sharp drop in the number of winners at Zodiac Casino, down from 6 in May to just one this month, while Yukon Gold also saw a drop of five winners from last month down from 9 to four.

However, Grand Mondial Casino increased its big money winners by one to eight to finish top of the pile this month for big money jackpot payouts.

Let's now take a look at which of the games were paying out players in June 2020.

The number of winners paid out by the Cash Splash slot dropped by eight compared to May and April's figures, but it was still the slot that paid out the most winners this month. What was notable is another increase in the number of Mega Vault Millionaire winners, which saw seven winners this month compared to five last month and I think we are only going to continue to see that particular game produce more winners heading into the future.

Currency jackpot wins in June 2020

We saw a drop of eight Canadian Dollar winners in June compared to May 2020, but the figures for the Euro and US Dollar held relatively steady with the Euro picking up one more winner in June than it managed in May and the US Dollar seeing the same number of winners in both months.

The biggest prize of the month (and indeed of the year so far) was landed by a Euro player on the 5^th June for just over €219,594. That was comfortably clear of the CA$92,960 prize that was landed just a couple of days later on the 8^th June.

Of course, comparing the number of winners a currency generates is one thing, but equally important is how much cash those wins generated, so listed below is the amount won in each currency (with any cent values discounted).

This month saw a considerable drop of around C$200,000 in the amount paid out to Canadian Dollar winners, although the amount paid out to Euro players more than doubled this month compared to last, while the number of US Dollar winners remained the same, they received a smaller pay out of around US$13,000 less than the previous month.

How do those significantly improved figures for the Euro jackpot winners and the fewer number and total amount of cash won by Canadian Dollar players affect the average win amounts for each currency?

It is therefore pretty clear that the couple of big money wins landed by Euro players has significantly affected the averages for June 2020 and this is borne out when we take the exchanged amount of each average win and convert it into a single currency, in this case British Pounds, to compare more easily.

This is consistent with what we have noted across most of the months of 2020 and even beyond that in that there may be fewer Euro winners than Canadian Dollar winners, but on average a Euro winner tends to win comparably more for their jackpot prize than US or Canadian Players and that is all to do with the value of the Euro compared to the two North American currencies. Interestingly though, the average wins for Euro and Canadian Dollar players were higher than in May 2020, with the US Dollar average win (when converted into British Pounds) being the only one that was smaller.

What were the biggest Casino Rewards wins in June 2020?

While we may not have a Casino Rewards Network Mega Moolah top jackpot prize winner in June 2020, we have had the largest single jackpot win of the year on the network in this month and there were a number of other decent sized wins over the 50,000 mark in this month too, all of which helped boost those average figures that we reported above.

The Treasure Nile slot was again the slot that produced the big money winner this month, as it has done for a number of months in the year so far, although we are now seeing more winners landed on the Mega Vault Millionaire slot too. Once again, there is a trend appearing when we look at the data for a month that has fewer wins compared to a month that has more wins. What you tend to find is that in months with more wins, the value of the jackpots won is on average smaller, while in months when there are fewer winners, we tend to find more higher value jackpot wins and the value of each win tends to be higher too. This general trend has been notable across several months since we collected data on the top jackpot winners at Casino Rewards.

If you think about it, then that makes perfect sense as with fewer winners on each game, that gives the jackpots more time to grow into larger amounts, than they would do if there were a greater number of winners in each game.

For example, last month which had more winners, aw just three prizes awarded of over 35,000 in any currency. However this month, we have seen eight prizes of 35,000 or more awarded to the lucky winners of the jackpot prizes.

Mobile vs Desktop winners in June 2020

We recorded a total of 32 winners across the Casino Rewards network in June 2020, the smallest number of the year tied with February 2020. However, it was not all doom and gloom as we also recorded the highest jackpot winner of the year and the average amount won by most players was larger in June than it was in May or April before that.

As of the end of May, we had landed 194 jackpot winners in 2020. If we add the 32 landed in June to that total we now have 226 jackpot winners confirmed for the year across 185 days of the year so far, so as you can see, the network is still awarding jackpot prizes at the rate of considerably more than one per day.

It was also another excellent month for mobile players with the majority of wins in the month coming on mobile devices. Let's take a look at all the collated data going back to April 2019 to see just how prevalent mobile gaming is when it comes to landing jackpot prizes at Casino Rewards.

While we did see more desktop winners landed in June, almost 70% of winners claimed their prize on a mobile device and we have still not had a month on record where fewer than 60% of winners claimed their win on a mobile device.

Next month should be very interesting as a number of tweaks have occurred with in the Casino Rewards Network, namely to their popular introductory offers. These offers will now be focused more on the Mega Vault Millionaire slot, than the original Mega Moolah and it is going to be interesting to see whether this added focus on their exclusive Mega Moolah powered game has an impact on the number of jackpots won on that game going forward.
