Casino Rewards winners: May 2020

April 2020 was a bumper month for big money winners at the Casino Rewards Network with over 50 winners of big jackpot prizes across the month. Well we were hoping that the generous nature displayed by the network at the start of Spring would continue into May and although we didn't quite reach the lofty numbers of winners in April, it was still a great month for a number of big winners on the Casino Rewards Network.

A total of 39 big money winners were landed in May, the second highest total of the year so far, Once again it means through the 31 days of May, the Casino Rewards Network paid out on average just over one big jackpot claim each day.

One thing to note is that we did see the same five games pay out the big money wins to players in May as we have seen in April and March before that. It seems these games, which include a number of Mega Moolah slot games, as well as the likes of Cash Splash and Treasure Nile, are the ones that most often reward their players with some higher value wins.

One thing to note is that while the Mega Moolah top progressive jackpot prize was triggered three times in May 2020 (only the second month in the game's long history that this has been the case), none of those wins were confirmed as being at casinos part of the Casino Rewards network, which is a little disappointing but with the slot available at hundreds of outlets online across the entire globe, that is perhaps not too surprising.

Another similarity to previous data is the amount of winners spread out across the Casino Rewards Network of casinos and it is also good to see the exclusive Mega Vault Millionaire slot, which is only available at the Casino Rewards Network, is also starting to pay out some decent value prizes to players.

So with that in mind, let's take a look at some of the headline data for May 2020.

Casino Rewards progressive pay outs in May 2020

• There were three Mega Moolah top progressive jackpot winners in May 2020, although none were landed at Casino Rewards Network casinos. This was only the third time in history that the jackpot has been won three times in a month and the total amount paid out in May 2020 was the largest combined jackpot sum in the game's history with around 28 million paid out in different currencies.
• May 2020 generated 39 winners, the second largest number of the year behind April, which had 51. Once again the Canadian Dollar winners were the most numerous claiming 28 of those wins and prizes of over CA$750,000 between them.
• May 2020 saw the biggest single win on the Casino Rewards Network of 2020 so far with one player landing a prize of over CA$187,000 on the Treasure Nile slot.
• Wins were concentrated heavily on a couple of days in May 2020. The luckiest was the 8^th May which saw not only five big winners on the Casino Rewards Network but also a Mega Moolah jackpot win too. The 5^th May and the 28^th May saw four winners claim their prize on those days, with three winners landed on the 22^nd
• The days that saw two winners claim a prize were the 16^th, 17^th 25^th and 27^th
• There were single big money winners landed on the 2^nd, 4^th, 6^th, 7^th, 9^th, 10^th, 11^th, 12^th, 13^th, 14^th, 18^th, 21^st, 24^th, 29^th and 31^st
• No winners were recorded on the 1^st, 3^rd, 15^th, 19^th, 20^th, 23^rd, 26^th and 30^th
• Winners were evenly split between the month with 19 winners up until the 15^th May and 20 winners from the 16^th May to the 31^st
• The lowest jackpot recorded in the month was a CA$5,297 prize won on the Cash Splash slot at Zodiac Casino on the 8^th May 2020.

Which casinos and games generated big winners in May 2020?

Last month it was Captain Cook's Casino that generated the most winners with 11, but this month, that casino falls down into third place in the chart as it was beaten by Yukon Gold Casino which saw nine winners in May 2020. A total of 11 different Casino Rewards Network casinos managed to see big money winners during the month.

For the second month in a row 11 casinos paid out winners, which is more than in March and February of this year. We did have a large number of casinos report just one winner in the month with six casinos doing that, including a couple that have rarely featured in this list. Cosmo Casino has seen a surprising drop in winners from 10 last month, down to just one this.

Let's now take a look at which of the games on the network were the ones paying out the most often to players this month.

For the second month in a row, Cash Splash paid out 22 winners, which is a staggering amount for the slot and although Treasure Nile paid out just the one winner, it was the highest value winner of the month. There were half the number of Mega Moolah winners in May 2020 as there were in April 2020, although Mega Vault Millionaire winners increased by one over the same period.

All three currencies saw a drop in the number of winners from April 2020, but once again the proportion of each wins to each currency remains about the same and in truth that has been the case for a number of months now. Canadian Dollars saw eight fewer winners, the Euro saw three fewer and the US Dollar one fewer.

In numerical terms, the Canadian Dollar players landed the four highest value jackpot prizes on the network this month, with another three examples of Canadian Dollar winners inside the top ten, the other three winners being by Euro players and once again no US Dollar winners made a mark for themselves in the top ten.

Let's now take a look at how the currencies compare when we add up the winners for each month (without the cents for each win).

Perhaps unsurprisingly seeing as there were considerably fewer wins for each currency, we have seen a marked drop in the total amount won for each currency in May 2020. However, the amount won in Canadian Dollars is still significantly more than recorded in February or March 2020.

However, to best gauge how successful a currency has been on the network, it is necessary to check out the average win size for each. This is what the data below shows:

This shows numerically at least, while Canadian Dollar winners tended to be larger in size, the average US Dollar win was numerically more than the Euro, but does that stand when we translate these average wins into a comparative currency, such as the British Pound?

This is interesting as usually the Euro has been the currency which, when actual values are compared, has the best average win size, but for this month the Canadian Dollar win did, no doubt helped by the fact that by far and away the biggest three jackpot wins in the month were all landed in this particular currency. However all three average win amounts were well down compared to the figures for April 2020.

What were the biggest Casino Rewards wins in May 2020?

May was an incredible month for Mega Moolah jackpot winners, with the jackpot being triggered three times during the month for only the second time in the game's history. However, none of those winners landed their prize at Casino Rewards Network casinos, but there were plenty of others that landed very nice lower value prizes across a range of games on their choice of casino.

Once again, the biggest money winner for the month who earned a very sizeable prize of CA$187,180 landed their win on the popular Treasure Nile slot, which tends to produce at least one, if not a couple of big money winners each month. We may have had fewer winners in May 2020 compared to April, but we have seen the biggest win on the network so far this year with the lucky player who landed a prize of CA$187,180 on the Treasure Nile slot on the 8^th May. That winner was around CA$33,000 more than the previous high amount of the year landed back in April also on the Treasure Nile slot.

However, there was a big drop off in winning amount this month compared to April with just three winners claiming a prize of over 35,000 in any currency. Compare that to April which saw all of the top ten winners claim over 49,000 in their chosen currency and it seems this month saw more money focused on the top three winners, than those middle of the road winners behind them.

Mobile vs desktop winners in May 2020

May was a good month for big money winners on the Casino Rewards Progressive Network with a total of 39 winners in total, albeit well down on the 51 winners in April, it was still the second highest number of winners in total in any month of 2020 thus far.

So far up until the end of the 31^st May, we have had 152 days in the year so far, and if we add the 39 jackpot winners in May 2020 to the 155 we have already had throughout the year, that means we have had 194 jackpot or big money winners on the network across those days. So as you can see, we are still well above the one big money prize per day on average.

We also saw the trend of a significant number of wins coming on mobile devices continue in May 2020 with just short of 80% of winners in the month landing their win on a mobile device. This echoes the data that we have seen emerging since April 2019, which shows that as a percentage of total winners, mobile players are landing almost ¾ of wins across each month.

A quick look at the data reveals that we have had no months were less than 60% of winners claimed their prize on a mobile device and the percentage has been as high as 84%. Again, this is entirely indicative of the way that people now choose to access casinos and online gaming opportunities via their choice of mobile device, rather than at a desktop.

Furthermore, the percentage of winners on mobile is also slightly increasing as time goes by and that fits in with the observational data that you can see when players log into casinos on their tablet or smartphone, rather than their PC or laptop.

We have also discovered that the Casino Rewards Network casinos may not offer Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah slot. This would explain why we have not seen any Absolootly Mad winners on the list this month.

Despite three wins in May 2020, the Mega Moolah jackpot has climbed from just over 2.1 million to now over 5.2 million making it the biggest progressive jackpot prize available on the network once again.
