Presentation

The presentation of the Deco Diamonds Deluxe slot is very simple and enjoyable. The 5x3 reels are set up as in a real world slot and the setting is very deco-themed in red and gold. The soundtrack is worth a note too as it is a typical 1920s tune that will have you tapping your feet along as you play and it also helps create the right feel for this particular slot theme.

If you played the original Deco Diamonds game then this updated and improved version will feel very similar as there are many similarities between the two games, but just enough difference to make this new version worth playing in its own right.

One thing to note regarding playing your spins is that you can elect to use the Just For The Boost feature. This increases the size of your bet 50%, but when you use this feature the Deco Diamonds Deluxe Nudge feature is enabled.

This means that if you land a Deco Diamonds Deluxe Wild Scatter in a position just off the main reel set, then the Nudge will shift that reel one position to ensure that the Wild lands on the reels. What is on the reels?

There are only seven standard symbols on the reels. All symbols can be stacked on the reels and this can lead to multiple wins across different pay lines in the game, if you are lucky enough of course. The lower value symbols are the Cherrym Plum, Lemon and Melon symbols and these offer wins from 0.6x to 12.5x your bet.

The higher value symbols are always stacked three-high on the reels and they are the bells, the lucky 7s and the diamonds. These offer wins ranging from 2x your bet up to 100x your bet. However, you can land a small value win by landing two diamonds across the reels, which offers a return of 0.5x your bet.

Wild features

The Deco Diamonds Deluxe symbol is the in game Wild and also serves as a Scatter too. In the main game it serves as a substitute symbol, replacing others to try and help players land a win. However, if you can land two or more of the Deco Diamond Deluxe Wild Scatter symbols then they will hold their place on the reels and trigger a re-spin of the other reels.

This can result in further wins from the re-spin and if you land another Deco Diamond Deluxe Wild Scatter, then you will trigger another re-spin. If you manage to land three or more of these symbols using this feature you can also trigger the Free Spins feature, more of which is outlined in the section below.

Best feature of the Deco Diamonds Deluxe slot

There are a large number of similarities between this new version of the Deco Diamonds Deluxe slot and the original game, but also enough differences to make this newer version of the game worth a play in its own right. I think the presentation of this slot is excellent, with the soundtrack a particular highlight, but there's no doubt it is stacking up those Deco Diamond Deluxe Wild Scatters that makes the game most exciting as it not only gives you a chance of better value base game wins, but also a shot at the Bonus Wheel, where some sizeable prizes await you, including the jackpot of 1,000x your bet.

Conclusion

Deco Diamonds Deluxe is a nice reworking of a game that already had a number of devotees playing regularly. The fact that you have a Bonus Wheel rather than Free Spins may be seen as a hindrance rather than help for the slot, but in actual fact, it does fit in with the game very well and you can earn some decent prizes on your spin. The base game is high volatility though and as such, it is worth playing at a sensible bet level, especially if you want the Nudge feature enabled, which is somewhat expensive at a 50% hike in price per spin. However, it does mean more chance of those bonus triggers which are what makes the game so enjoyable.
