How about a Casino Rewards branded Mega Moolah slot?

Did you know that if you are a member at any one of the Casino Rewards casinos currently offering gaming across the world today, you can access a small number of exclusive slot games that are only available as part of this network?

While many of Microgaming's classic games, such as Thunderstruck II, Lost Vegas, Mega Moolah, Major Millions and Game of Thrones are available in casinos far and wide, there are a small number of exclusive slot games that you can only play at Casino Rewards casinos.

This includes the Casino Rewards Millionaires Club Slot, the Casino Rewards Roar of Thunder slot and a special slot game that is only open to VIP Members of Casino Rewards.

Casino Rewards are not the only group of casinos that offer this. Many other casinos strike deals with slots development companies, or create their own games in-house, which can only be played at this one casino or casino group. The aim being of course, for the games to be attractive to slots players and to encourage them to play at the site.

These games can be based on any subject and can have any type of features found on slot games. So that got us thinking about what games are really the most popular and which ones would definitely attract people to a certain site or group of casinos, in order to play them.

For us, the answer was simple. Mega Moolah, with its massive progressive jackpot prize, is a massive draw for any casino group and for the Casino Rewards network it would fit right in. We think a game based on Mega Moolah would be an absolute winner.

The only question is, how would the game work and what would be included in it? To answer that we got our thinking caps on and came up with the following.

Casino Rewards Mega Moolah-styled exclusive slot

The first thing we had to think about was the name of the game. We wouldn't want to confuse our new slot with Mega Moolah, even though Mega Moolah inspired it.

So we looked at things a different way and decided that while we would keep the exact features of Mega Moolah, we would come up with an entirely different theme for the slot and what better theme than the Casino Rewards Network itself and the games and casinos that are part of it.

To that end we felt that a fitting title would be the Casino Rewards Mega Progressive. A game which clearly outlines what it is about and also hints at what features are contained within.

What is on the reels?

Now that we have our theme for the slot, the question is what do we now put on the reels and have as a backdrop for the game? I think a fitting backdrop for the slot would be a simple animation of all the different casinos part of the Casino Rewards network. You could even program this so that depending on the geographic area the player was playing from, that only the casinos available to them as part of the network were shown on the backdrop.

On the reels, I would then pick a selection of the logos or title screens from the most popular Microgaming slot games. Given that there are about 10-14 symbols on the reels in a typical slot game, it would be tough to pick just this number of games from the wide range of Microgaming slots available, but assuming our slot is going to have 14 symbols, we would have the following as our choice of games:

  • Low Value Symbols (5) - Break Da Bank, Village People Macho Moves, Fortunium, Lucha Legends, Mermaids Millions
  • Mid Value Symbols (5) - Terminator 2, Bridesmaids, Jurassic Park, Cashapillar, Lucky Leprechaun
  • High Value Symbols (4) - Thunderstruck II, Game of Thrones, Immortal Romance, Avalon II

Our Wild symbol would be the Major Millions symbol and I would have a special payout based on the Major Millions slot where if you land five Major Millions across the reels then you would win a significant amount of money (to pay tribute to the Major Millions progressive jackpot slot). Our Scatter though would be the Mega Moolah symbol and it would be this which lead to the Free Spins feature of the slot.

What would be the big bonus features on the Casino Rewards Mega Progressive?

We've already mentioned that we'd have a Wild symbol and a Scatter and of course, the Mega Moolah Scatter would lead to a special Free Spins bonus round. In the Free Spins bonus, you would play on a new set of reels, the Mega Moolah reel set, in what would be a smaller version of the game, with just the Animal Symbols on the reels, plus the Wild symbol.

The final and key bonus feature on the slot would be the Jackpot Wheel and I've thought long and hard about this and I think to differentiate it from the Mega Moolah slot. But technically it would have to be the exact same Jackpot Wheel from Mega Moolah because of the unique way that it works and is linked to Microgaming's progressive jackpot network. Therefore it can only be redesigned to look a little bit different.

If at all possible additional game features could be added such as random Free Spins on other slot games. Of course, as more people sign up to the Casino Rewards Network, the size of this jackpot amount would increase and of course, the jackpot can be won at any time before then just as it is with the Mega Moolah slot, or any other Mega Moolah theme, which currently are; the Mega Moolah 5 Reel Drive slot, the Mega Moolah Summertime slot, and the Mega Moolah Isis slot. If you recall there were two other Mega Moolah themes just a few years ago, the Lord of the Rings slot and the Dark Knight slot, so creating additional themes is entirely possible.

We think a Mega Moolah-inspired Casino Rewards Mega Progressive is fully merited! Now let's just hope the brains at Microgaming are listening and decide to put it into action!
