How can I increase my chances of winning on the Mega Vault Millionaire slot?

The data is in and perhaps unsurprisingly, the brand new and exclusive Casino Rewards network-only progressive jackpot slot, linked to the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize, Mega Vault Millionaire, has proven to be a smash hit success in its first month of operation.

Although at the time of writing, it has not yet been confirmed that it has paid out its first Mega Jackpot winner, we do know that throughout October alone, it paid out ten of the sizeable Major Jackpot prizes and we are willing to bet that it will not be too long before the game lands its first Mega Jackpot winner, which could well come before the end of the year.

Now, if you have already read our review of the Mega Vault Millionaire slot, or read any of the previous articles on the Mega Vault Millionaire, then you will know that it is a very different game to the original Mega Moolah, or any of the three other slots that are linked to the same progressive jackpot prize. This has led to many players wondering if the game is markedly different to the others in terms of their chances of winning that massive Mega jackpot prize, or even a sizeable other prize in the base game, bonus rounds, or perhaps the Major Jackpot.

In this article, we are going to explain what you can and what you can't do to help you increase your chances of winning on the Mega Vault Millionaire slot, and whether this slot offers you more, less or the same amount of chance as any of the other Mega Moolah-linked games.

And it is this latter question which we will answer first before we move on to looking at strategies you can adopt, or should avoid, when playing the game.

Does Mega Vault Millionaire offer me more, less or the same chance of winning?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, you have the exact same chance of triggering the Mega Vault Millionaire jackpot bonus wheel game, as you do of triggering the bonus game on any of the other Mega Moolah slots. This is the case, even though the bonus game on Mega Vault Millionaire is different.

Why is this the case? Well the answer is somewhat obvious. If Microgaming released a game that offered players a better chance of winning the Mega Moolah jackpot playing it than any of the other games, then nobody would play the other games and everyone would instead play the game that offers them a better chance!

This would effectively kill off any interest in the other Mega Moolah-linked slots. Hence, Microgaming have taken great care to ensure your chances of winning the big prize are the same regardless of which of the Mega Moolah-linked slots you play.

Are there any cheats you can give me to help land a win on Mega Vault Millionaire?

No because Mega Vault Millionaire cannot be cheated and even if a player was to somehow land a win using a cheat or hack, then this win would most likely be declared null and void and the player would not be paid.

There are no workarounds on any of the Mega Moolah-linked games, but that doesn't mean that you cannot play in a way which offers you a better chance of winning.

OK, so what strategies can I use?

Like all games part of the Mega Moolah jackpot fund, your chances of triggering the Jackpot Bonus game depend on the size of the bet you make on the triggering spin. Assuming that you have made the minimum bet (which is 0.25), then your spin could potentially trigger the jackpot bonus game and a chance at landing one of the four jackpot prizes available.

The only way you can increase your chances for certain to trigger the bonus game (please note I said trigger the bonus, not land the big jackpot prize) is to bet more money on each spin in the game. Your chances of triggering the bonus game in Mega Vault Millionaire, or indeed any of the Mega Moolah powered slots, increase in proportion to the size of your bet.

So if you play at 0.50 per spin, instead of 0.25 per spin, you would have a little bit more of chance of landing the bonus game on a spin. So, to maximise your chances of triggering the jackpot bonus game, then you would need to play at the maximum of 6.25 per spin.

However, it is worth noting that increasing your bet size only increases your chances of triggering the bonus game. It does not increase your chances of triggering the Mega Jackpot prize (although, you would likely get more chances to win it if you bet a higher amount over a longer period of time).

One important thing to note here, especially in 'Responsible Betting Week' in the UK, is that you should only ever bet what you can afford. Only players with significant bankrolls can afford to play at 6.25 a spin and it is much better, if you have a bankroll of say 25.00, to play through 100 spins at 0.25, than it is to play just four spins at 6.25.

One other thing to note is that the progressive jackpot prizes are not the only way you can land some big money wins in Mega Vault Millionaire as the base game, and notably the Free Spins bonus game, can see you land some big prizes too.

Admittedly, these prizes are not going to be on a par with the Mega Jackpot prize on offer, but you can still win prizes of hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands playing the game and getting lucky in a bonus round or in the base game. As such, you should focus on playing Mega Vault Millionaire as a standard slot and only switch your focus to the progressive jackpots if and when you are lucky enough to trigger them.

Finally, sensibly budgeting your sessions is a good way to prolong your play throughout a month and also gives the jackpot time to grow, especially after it has just been triggered. So ensuring you can play regularly with the funds you have available to play with is another positive strategy, rather than spending all your cash in just one session and then being unable to play when the jackpot rises further.

Good luck!
