Jackpot-packed line up of slots releases coming to you in September 2020
If you love progressive jackpot gaming, then you are going to love what slots giant Microgaming have in store for their fans this September.
The company plans to release a trio of exciting new progressive jackpot slot games to add to the selection already available for their two largest progressive games, as well as a whole host of other slots from both their affiliated partners and the companies' part of Microgaming's expansive content aggregation scheme.
Having already released two of those games prior to their press release, we are going to take a look at some of the forthcoming releases in September later in the article, but first let us summarise the games that the company has already released this month into casinos all over the world.
Book of Atem Wowpot kicks off September releases
The first release of September came on the first of the month and it was one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year. A new reworking of the All41 Studios hit Book of Atem, this time with the Wowpot progressive jackpot prizes as part of the game.
This new Book of Atem Wowpot slot captures all the great fun and action of the original slot release but then adds to it the fantastic Wowpot progressive jackpot prize fund, with four progressive jackpot prizes to chase including the Major Jackpot prize (seeded at £50,000) and the Wowpot Jackpot (seeded at a record £2 million).
Indeed, buoyed by the release of this game (and another Wowpot slot a week later), the top Wowpot jackpot prize has already climbed to well over six million!
The Book of Atem Wowpot slot offers high volatility gaming on a 5x3 reel slot featuring just 10 pay lines. The game has a Free Spins bonus that features and Expanding Symbol which can lead to some very sizeable wins in the bonus feature should you land it across many reels on a spin.
Barely had the Book of Atem Wowpot slot increased the number of options for players to play for the Wowpot progressive jackpot prize (previously, it had only been available on the Wheel of Wishes slot), when a week later a second Wowpot slot hit casinos!
That second slot game was the eagerly awaited Sisters of Oz slot from Triple Edge Studios. Fans of the Wowpot slot have known that this game has been in the works for most of 2020 so it was a huge delight to finally see it hit all casinos earlier this week after it had a limited release.
This new slot is also tied to the same Wowpot progressive prize fund and it is a 5x4 reel slot game that has 20 pay lines in play and is a more medium variance offering. The four sisters of Oz and the five standard symbols are stacked on the reels to allow for multiple pay line wins and you can also trigger a Jumbo Block Symbol bonus in the base game at random, which had the chance to turn all the middle three reels into a single huge 4x3 symbol, which is you can match with matching or Wild symbols on the first and fifth reels, can lead to some massive wins.
There's also a great value Free Spins bonus round and you can launch the Jackpot Bonus Game on any spin you collect a Golden Oz coin from one of the lower value symbols. The more of these coins you can collect, the more chances you are granted to land a shot at one of the four Wowpot progressive jackpots.
Released in between these two Wowpot behemoths, on the 3rd September, was the rather attractive looking Stellar Portals slot by Snowborn games. A space-age slot game that really caught the eye with some stunning visuals and sounds as well as genuinely engaging game-play. The fact that the game comes jam-packed full of different bonus features and the chance to win up to 7777x your stake is also well worth noting.
This is a slot well worth taking a closer look at as in terms of visuals and imagination, plus the sheer volume of bonuses, it is certainly one of the most intriguing non-progressive slots I have played this year so far.
The final slot to have already hit casinos this year is the Aztec-themed Almighty Aztec slot by Spin Play Games. This 10 pay line, 5x3 reel slot offers the chance to win both ways across the reels and also features Expanding Wilds on the middle three reels. There are no free Respins with those Wilds however, but you do get a Free Spins bonus round and a base game bonus based on the god Quetzalcoatl, which can turn up to three reels completely Wild.
It's already been a fantastic month with just these releases, but there's plenty more to come over the coming weeks too from Microgaming
Forthcoming September releases
Next up for release is the latest Just For The Win slot Spectre Estate, which sounds rather like it could be some kind of horror/The Munsters type of slot game and we will bring you a full review of that game when it is released next week. In addition to this, Microgaming will also be releasing wo table games generally during the month including No Commission Baccarat on the 17th September and the dice game Sic Bo on the 24th September.
However, it is the release of the new Mega Moolah-powered slot Fortunium Gold that will have many slots players excited this month. Following on from February's release of Atlantean Treasures and Absolootly Mad, this new slot will link in with all four Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prizes (which has already paid out one winner of over 4 million during September).
Maximillian and Victoria will return in the sequel to the popular Fortunium slot in a 5x5 reel game that features 40 pay lines and a host of other features including Mystery Symbols, Free Spins and a Win Booster option. This new Mega Moolah slot is set to hit casinos on the 22nd September and will be one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
The month will conclude with Neon Valley Studios latest release Noble Sky, which is a 25 pay line lower to medium volatility slot game that is based on the story of flight and adventure. The game features an Airship Wild Respins bonus, plus a Vault Bonus and a chance to win up to 5000x your bet amount with a Grand Jackpot prize.
In addition to these official releases a number of games from its rich team of content aggregator partners will also be released in September including the likes of One Million Megaways BC, Magic Merlin Megaways, Star Clusters Megaclusters and Cubes. These are just four of over 30 new games from content aggregator partners scheduled for release this September.
