King Cashalot is the 4th Microgaming progressive with a million-plus jackpot!

It has been creeping up on us for weeks now, but with the jackpot now at over one million and rising, we now have another million dollar progressive jackpot slot available for players, courtesy this time of the King Cashalot slot.

So with King Cashalot joining the likes of Major Millions (which has already paid out one million-plus jackpot in the last few days and has another one available to win right now), Wheel of Wishes and of course, the Mega Moolah slot and Atlantean Treasures and Mega Vault Millionaire, which offer the Mega Moolah's Mega Jackpot, there's never been a better chance or shot at becoming a millionaire.

This may well be the first time that Microgaming slots have seen four massive progressive jackpot prizes, all over the magical million mark at any one time.

What is the King Cashalot slot?

Although perhaps not as famous as a million-plus progressive jackpot slot, the King Cashalot slot is another Microgaming progressive that offers players a chance to land a huge jackpot prize. The slot is seeded at an initial 100,000 but in the past it has grown well beyond that.

The game is a 5x3 reel slot that has a total of 9 pay lines in play. You can wager from 0.05 up to 0.25 on each of the nine pay lines, for a minimum bet of 0.45 and a maximum bet of 2.25, however to stand a chance of winning the top jackpot prize, you need to be wagering the maximum 2.25 per spin.

The game is based on the court of King Cashalot and features a number of items from his feast as the lower value symbols, as well as members of his court as the higher value symbols in the game. There is an auto-play feature available, but you have to switch the game from regular mode into expert mode in order to access it.

What is unusual about this slot is that it doesn't have a Free Spins bonus game like many other progressives. Instead, if you land three of the Dragon Scatter symbols across the middle three reels then you will launch the Treasure Bonus game.

In this game, you will see a number of Treasure Chests displayed on screen. All you do is pick from them and uncover a cash prize. You can then decide whether to keep the cash prize you have won, or discard it and pick another Treasure Chest in the hope of landing a larger prize. You can continue to do this until you accept a prize you have been awarded, or you run out of chests to pick from, after which the final chest you pick will be your cash prize.

To help you land some better value wins in the base game there is a Jester symbol on the reels and this is another Scatter-type symbol where landing two of these symbols, or more, on the reels on any spin will award you a cash prize increasing in value with the more Jesters you land.

However, the key to the big money wins on the King Cashalot slot is the King Cashalot Wild symbol. In the base game, he can be used as a standard Wild symbol and can substitute for other symbols in the game to create winning lines. However, it is when you land the King Cashalot symbol in all five positions across the reels on the 9 pay lines that you can land the biggest value win in the game.

Land this symbol on any of the first eight pay lines and you will win the base game jackpot of 15,000 coins. The same is true if you land this combination on the ninth pay line but have not played the maximum bet of 2.25 for that spin.

However, if you have played the maximum bet of 2.25 and you hit those nine King Cashalot Wilds on the ninth pay line, then you will trigger the progressive jackpot prize, which at the moment, will make you an instant millionaire.

Does King Cashalot have a history of big money wins?

It is fair to say that the King Cashalot slot is one of the Microgaming progressives that doesn't actually pay out that frequently. In fact, the last time the jackpot was won was way back in August 2017, when one player won a prize of around £642,408. Prior to that, the jackpot was won a year before for just over £520,000. You can see those wins in the King Cashalot jackpot graph.

However, both those wins were for larger amounts of money than the British Pound value stated, with the win in 2017 being of over 826,000 in the players own currency, while the win in August 2016 was even higher numerically at over 900,000 in the players currency. The values shown above were the amount paid from the prize pool once the total win had been converted into British Pounds from the players currency, rather like winners of the Mega Moolah jackpot have experienced over the years.

So as we can see, the game does have a history of some very large wins, approaching the million mark but not quite surpassing it in recent years and as such, this jackpot win could be one of the biggest ever landed on the King Cashalot slot, especially if it is won by a British Pound player, which would then see the jackpot return to its initial seed amount of £100,000 as it would be won in full.

Other big money jackpot prizes available to win?

Alongside the King Cashalot slot, there are, as we have already mentioned, a number of other progressive jackpots available to win, all over that magical million mark.

Despite having just paid out one winner of over CA$2.5 million (read about it here), the Major Millions slot is still going strong with a jackpot of over 1.1 million now available.

Furthermore, the newest addition to the Microgaming slot team, the Wheel of Wishes slot, now has a jackpot of around 2.3 million. However that pales into comparison with the massive Mega Moolah jackpot prize, which has yet to be triggered in 2020 and at present stands at over 13 million at the time of writing.

With so many great jackpots up for grabs, it is easy to see why so many customers love playing the slots on the Microgaming progressive jackpot network. Who will be the next big winner of a million-plus prize? We don't know for sure, but we do know that when it happens, you can read about it here first.
