Lucky player wins CA$5.9 million jackpot on Mega Moolah on 10 August 2019
The Mega Moolah slot has paid out once again! Although precise details of the win are still not yet fully confirmed, our trackers have shown that the Mega Moolah jackpot was tripped on 10 August 2019 for a prize in the region of CA$5,954,437.97.
Early suggestions are that the latest winner has indeed landed their prize in Canadian Dollars and after the win was recorded, the jackpot has now been reset back to around £2.2 million.
This latest winner is the seventh win of the jackpot in 2019 and is the latest Mega Moolah winner to have spun the Jackpot Bonus Wheel and landed that incredible top prize. The jackpot may have been won but it is important to remember that it can be won at any time. Several times in the past we have seen Mega Moolah jackpots triggered in quick succession.
Mega Moolah Jackpot wins
The first really quick trigger of the Mega Moolah jackpot came back in 2009 when the jackpot was one twice in the space of two months, with a €6.3 million prize won on the 9th May 2009, followed by a €1.17 million prize on the 3rd July 2009.
The next shortest time period between wins came three years later in early 2012 when one player landed a US$1.52 million prize on the 11th March and this was followed a few weeks later by a win of €1.39 million on the 28th April. Barely a month after that the very first Mega Moolah winner on mobile claimed a US$1.07 million prize on the 25th May 2012.
By 2013, Mega Moolah was being played a lot more frequently and with more spins on the slot, wins were being triggered more frequently than at any point in the past and that came to a head in May 2013 when on the 3rd of the month, one lucky player landed a €3.03 million prize and then a week later, a player in New Zealand became the first winner from that country taking home NZ$1.06 million just seven days later on the 10th May 2013.
This was the first time that the jackpot had been won on two occasions with less than a month between the triggers and it seemed as the year rolled on that this was a record that was. Not likely to be beaten any time soon.
How wrong that forecast would prove to be.
June 2014 was the month when the Mega Moolah jackpot went crazy. First off on the 12th June, one lucky Canadian player landed a CA$4.25 million prize, the first in four months and then just six days later, we had a second winner who landed a €2.38 million prize. Incredibly, just six days after that win, we also saw a third winner and the second winner ever on the 5 Reel Drive version of the game, when another Canadian player landed a prize of CA$1.01 million for the third Mega Moolah jackpot to be won in just 12 days.
We had two winners just ten days apart in November 2016, with one winner earning a big prize of CA$11.63 million on the 5th November and the other a more modest AU$5.63 million win just ten days later, but that was still no match for the incredible events of April.
However, little did we know what 2017 would have in store for multiple winners.
The year began brightly with winners triggered in January, March and April and then we saw another winner land their prize on the 22nd May 2017. That winner earned €3.72 million and then incredibly just over five hours later, the jackpot was triggered for the second time in a single day, when a Canadian player landed a prize of just over CA$1.00 million.
It had taken 12 years since the first winner of the jackpot prize, but Mega Moolah had now awarded its top prize twice in a single day. Would we ever see this incredible event happen again?
Well, yes we would and we would see it occur even more quickly and just a month later. To the amazement of almost everyone that played the game, on the 19th June 2017, one lucky player landed their prize in New Zealand Dollars of NZ$1.55 million and then just an hour or so later, the next winner landed in Australian Dollars of just over AU$1.00 million.
After this period, the Mega Moolah jackpot was won once a month for the remainder of 2017 and into early 2018 up until April that year when we had one trigger on April 19th for US$5.61 million and this was followed a day later by a British Pound win of £1.77 million.
Just under a year later and the Mega Moolah jackpot was being won in quick succession once again as in 2019, on the 5th March, one lucky player playing in US Dollars landed a massive prize of US$12.94 million and then a day later, we had a Canadian Dollar winner of CA$3.30 million confirmed via mobile device.
We then saw two winners on the 4th May and the 24th May 2019 prior to this big win, which does go to show that the Mega Moolah jackpot can and has been won very frequently, even just after it has been triggered with a big win.
Does that mean Mega Moolah will be won again now?
In truth, the answer to that is we don't know. The Mega Moolah jackpot is awarded entirely at random at any time, on any qualifying spin on any of the four different Mega Moolah games currently in circulation. This means that after this big jackpot win, we could see another winner with the very next spin, or it could be within the next day or week. It could be in the same month, or it may be that it takes several months or even a year to trigger the next win.
The truth is the more spins that are played on the game the, more likely it is that someone somewhere will trigger the win. However, even when fewer spins are being played on the slot, as happens when a big jackpot has just been won and the figure returns to a lower amount, it is still entirely possible for someone to land the reduced jackpot just a short time after the last win.
And it is worth remembering that a small jackpot prize on Mega Moolah is still guaranteed to be at least a million in GBP, EUR, USD, CAD and NZD, and is often considerably more than that.
So congratulations to the latest winner and lets hope that are once again celebrating another winner sometime soon. Although how soon remains to be seen!
