Set against the backdrop of a Mayan village, festooned with temples in the heart of a balmy South American jungle, the way that All41 Studios present their slots is always eye-catching and the Mayan Eagle slot is no different. I particularly like the waterfall animation that is in the background and which is very nicely done.

The sound effects are simple drumbeats and jungle noises but they work very well with the slot and it helps to create the right ambiance for the game. What is on the reels?

There are a number of different lower and higher value symbols on the reels, plus a Mystery Symbol, a Wild and a Scatter. The standard symbols can be stacked up to five symbols high so they can completely fill a reel and trigger multiple wins across the reels from a single spin.

The lower value symbols are the five playing card symbols from the 10 through to the Ace. I was a little disappointed that All41 Studios went with using the playing card low on a slot about the Mayans as it doesn't really fit in with that theme in my view. Wins on these symbols range from 0.1x your bet up to 1.5x your bet but remember you can win across many different lines to help increase the value of these wins.

The higher value symbols in the game are the four different types of Mayan Eagle. These are essentially the same symbol but just in different colours, blue, green, red and a gold one on a purple backdrop. Wins on these symbols are higher than on the lower value symbols.

The Mystery Symbol, which looks rather like a monkey pulling a tongue, can appear on any reel and usually appears in large groups. When it does, it will transform from the basic symbol into one of the standard symbols on the reels and this can, of course, trigger wins on the reels. The Mystery Symbol cannot turn into a Wild or Scatter symbol however.

Wild features

There is a single Wild symbol on the reels which is the Mayan Temple symbol. This can appear on the middle four reels of the slot and is used solely as a replacement symbol, to help try and create additional winning lines across the reels. Obviously, the more Wilds you can land across the reels, the more chance you have of triggering a better value win.

Free Spins features
