Mega Moolah jackpot hits 5 million while the Wowpot jackpot hits 8 million!
It has been an amazing month or two for the Wowpot progressive jackpot network as the Wowpot progressive jackpot slot climbed past the 8 million mark for the first time in the game's relatively short history.
We have also seen the release of two brand new games offering a shot at all four of the jackpot prizes, Sisters of Oz Wowpot and Book of Atem Wowpot, which add to the first game in the series Wheel of Wishes, but we have also seen the release of African Legends, a game which offers players a chance to win the Wowpot Major jackpot prize, which is seeded at a minimum of 50,000.
As yet, there has still been no official confirmed winner of the Wowpot progressive jackpot prize on any of the slot games part of the network. This has meant that the jackpot prize has steadily grown from around its seed point of 2 million back in February 2020, when the first game in the series was released, up to the current prize amount of just over 8 million.
That's not to say that the Wowpot progressive jackpot network hasn't paid out anything to its players. Over that time, the second largest jackpot prize in the network, the Major jackpot, has been won on many occasions since then, including a glut of wins from September on wards.
Wowpot Major Progressive successes
Things kicked up a notch on the Wowpot network from September when the two new Wow pot progressives were released on the 1st and 8th of the month. The Book of Atem Wowpot slot was first in casinos, followed by Sisters of Oz Wowpot, but in between those two releases, we saw the largest Wowpot Major progressive jackpot prize claimed since the game began. See all the Major winners on WheelofWishes.net.
That prize was valued at 436,312 and was won on the 4th September, and although we can't clarify exactly which currency the prize was won in, it does seem to be a Canadian Dollar or New Zealand Dollar win.
However, that massive Major jackpot win was just the first in what has proven to be an incredible series of wins throughout September and October.
Just two days later, another player landed a Major jackpot win of around 247,803 and then two days after that, on the 8th September we had a third winner in the space of five days with this other winner landing a prize of over 162,542.
This was unusual even for the Wowpot Major jackpot as even though we had a series of wins in the period from February to March, they tended to be spaced out over a larger number of days. Many felt that the winning would not last after three big money wins in the space of five days.
They were wrong.
Three days later on the 11th September, we had the next big money winner claiming a prize of just over 99,268. Four days after that on the 15th September, there was the fifth winner in the space of just over two weeks with a prize of 113,742 claimed by one lucky player.
We then had a break of six days before the next Major jackpot was claimed, when one lucky player landed a prize of 87,776 on the 21st September.
Those six wins in September were the largest number of wins in.a single month of the Major progressive jackpot prize since the game began, outstripping the four triggers we saw landed back in the release month of the first Wowpot slot, Wheel of Wishes, in February.
Many people now expected the Wowpot Major jackpot to slow down and be won less frequently and indeed after the 21st September no other winners were landed in that month. However, just two days into October 2020 and we had our first winner of that month when one player landed a prize of just over 200,308.
What was interesting about this win was that it appears to be a British Pound win as the Major jackpot was then reset to its seed amount of 50,000. A week later, that amount had grown to 180,979, when it was won once again on the 9th October. Then three days later on the 12th October, we had a winner of 188,581.
Then on the 16th October, just last week, we confirmed the fourth winner of the month when one player landed a prize of 97,109. Considering we still have almost two weeks left of the month, could we potentially see a new record number of winners in the month? That will be the case if we can land three more jackpot winners before Halloween on the 31st October expires.
One great way to keep abreast of all the jackpot prizes while playing one of the new games is to load up the Book of Atem or Sisters of Oz Wowpot slots and keep an eye on the Progressive Jackpot amounts on the left of the screen as you will see the latest information about each jackpot displayed there including how many times the jackpot has been triggered, what the last jackpot trigger was and when and even how much that jackpot has paid out since the game began.
That's Major News, but when will the big Wowpot progressive be won?
While the Major jackpot has hit a purple patch in terms of it being won consistently over the last couple of months, we are still awaiting the very first Wowpot progressive jackpot winner and with the prize now at a very tempting 8 million, and still climbing, when is it likely we will see the first winner of this huge prize?
The truth of the matter is that without the exact details of what the chances are for players to win the Wowpot progressive jackpot, we will never know. Microgaming keep that information a closely guarded secret, so predicting when it will be won is nothing more than guesswork.
However, what we can say for sure is that the rate at which the Wowpot and Major jackpot prizes are increasing in value (and the number of Major jackpot triggers in the last two months in particular) do indicate that more players are playing more spins on the game and that does increase the chances of somebody winning the jackpot somewhere.
Who that is and when that will happen and on what game and at what casino, nobody can predict in advance, but one thing is for sure, with the prize at 8 million and rising steadily, there are going to be plenty of players trying to become the very first winner of this Wowpot progressive prize.
Don't forget the other big money games!
It is tempting to think that the Wowpot is the only huge progressive jackpot prize available on the Microgaming network at the moment but that is indubitably not the case. As one old favourite, and still the most popular progressive jackpot slot for the majority of slot gamers, Mega Moolah has also crashed through a milestone amount.
After being won twice back in September (on the 6th for just over 4 million and then on the 19th for just over 3 million), the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize was reset back to close to its seed amount following those wins, but since then it has grown steadily and rapidly climbing back up to 5 million.
There is no doubt that the release of the new Mega Moolah slots, Atlantean Treasures in February, Absolootly Mad in May and then Fortunium Gold back in September has given this exciting progressive series fresh impetus and the fact you can now play in many different ways for the top Mega Jackpot prize, through these newer games, have brought the series right back up to date with a bang.
Indeed, at this rate, it is not going to take the Mega Moolah slot too long to surpass the total amount available in the Wheel of Wishes slot and I am willing to bet that if nobody wins the progressive jackpot prize across the remainder of October and through into November that by this time next month, the jackpot will have surpassed the Wowpot prize.
So there are multiple millions to be won on the Wowpot progressives and the Mega Moolah network of games, but there is another prize of over a million also available to be won, this time on the King Cashalot slot. This prize now stands at just below 1.2 million at the time of writing and it has been rising steadily for a while.
Other games with significant prizes available to be won that run into hundreds of thousands include Major Millions, Roulette Royale, Caribbean Draw Poker and CyberStud Poker, all of which are part of the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot Network.
So with so much money still available to win on the network, who is the next lucky player going to be that celebrates an incredible windfall, by landing one of Microgaming's iconic progressive jackpot prizes?
