Mega Moolah jackpot slot game features explained
In this next in a series of articles looking at the different features of the original Mega Moolah slot, we are going to focus on some of the more 'nuts and bolts' aspects of the game, namely the different things you can access from the main slot screen and the submenus that you can click on to access from the main screen of the slot.
It is worth noting at this point that there is an accompanying video to go with this article that will show you each of the items we have detailed herein. Watching this will give you a chance to see exactly where each of these options are on the page and how they look when you access them from the game.
One thing we should also point out is that the original Mega Moolah slot is an older slot and as such, some of the features that you may find on more modern released slots that share the Mega Moolah prize pool, such as Absolootly Mad, Atlantean Treasures or Mega Vault Millionaire, may not be available on this slot.
So let's head to the main screen of the Mega Moolah slot and work our way around it to show you exactly what is here and what is available for you to utilise when you play. Watch the video here in the separate window, or continue watching below.
The first thing you will notice is the backdrop of the slot, which not many people notice but which is actually a rather splendid looking tree. The five reels are superimposed over this bang in the centre of the screen and at the very top of the reels is the title of the slot and each of the four progressive jackpot prize pools available in the game, these go from left to right and are listed in order of highest value to lowest; Mega, Major, Minor and Mini jackpot prizes.
One thing to note, is that every now and then you will see the Jackpots tick over, increasing by a value of 0.01 each time. This counter is not an actual representation of how the jackpot is increasing in real time. Every now and then, the game will check back with the server on which the Mega Moolah progressive jackpots are located and when it does, it will update the amount shown to a new figure, which can cause these figures to jump by considerable amounts at times.
This is not an error in the game, it is just how the progressive jackpot was displayed when the game was first developed. However, the amount shown is a very close estimate of the actual value of each jackpot.
We will explain a lot more about the progressive jackpot prizes, what they are, how they are calculated and paid out and how you can win them in our article dedicated to the Jackpot Bonus Wheel game in this series.
Underneath the four progressive jackpot counters are the five reels, each with three symbols on each and these are very easy to see and follow and can be easily distinguished on even the smaller screen mobile devices if that is how you are playing the game.
At the foot of the five reels is the first main utility bar on the slot and this is the spin bar.
The spin bar
As the name suggests, the spin bar at the foot of the reels contains links to everything to do with placing your wager and getting the reels spinning on the Mega Moolah slot. The largest button is the Spin button, which will simply set the reels in motion for a single spin. To the right of that are what looks like piles of coins. This is the Bet Selector button and clicking on this bring up a sub-menu which allows you to select the size of bet you want to make.
You can bet from 0.25 up to 6.25 per spin and you can use the slider button to increase or decrease the size of your bet, or use the predetermined amounts shown on the buttons to select that amount to play with.
To the right of this button (and also included in the submenu above) is a Bet Max option, this will simply set the bet on the game to the largest amount possible (which in this Mega Moolah slot, is 6.25 per spin).
It is always advisable to check your bet amount whenever you load up the Mega Moolah slot as although many sites will remember your previous settings when you reload the game up, some may reset it back to their default settings from time to time and this may mean that your bet amount is set to a different amount to what you would ordinarily play with.
On the left hand side of the large spin button there is what looks like a button with a lightning bolt on. This is the QuickSpin button. When this is highlighted, you will play through your spins more quickly using faster spins. These spins do not resolve one reel after the other, but with all five reels simultaneously, this increases the speed at which the game is played and is a great option for those players who may only have a limited amount of time to play the game, but want to play as many spins in that time as possible.
To the left of the QuickSpins button is the Autoplay button. When you click this you bring up the Autoplay settings. Here you can set the coin size and the number of coins bet per line and the number of spins you want to play on Autoplay from four default settings, 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x.
You can also set your Autoplay stop settings which will stop the spins if your Win Limit or Loss Limits are reached. You can also select these limits from drop down boxes. Win limits range from nothing to 9,999.00 and Loss Limits range from 100.00 to 10,000.00.
If you do want to use Autoplay, when you have set your parameters in the menu, simply click the Start Autoplay button to begin your Autoplay spins. Alternatively, the Cancel button will take you back to the main screen without engaging the Autoplay feature.
That is essentially all that is available in the main spin bar, but underneath this is some key game information. The amount of credits you have remaining are displayed in the bottom left corner of the game, while the bet size is displayed in the bottom right and the number of lines in play are displayed in the middle of the bottom of the screen. Click on the arrow button and you can bring up details of your current session, listing your top five wins and your most recent wins.
There is one other key item you should know about and that is the menu accessed from the button with the three bars on it on the left of the screen. This is the main information menu button and clicking this brings up five icons on the left-hand side of the screen.
Main information bar
There are five icons displayed here and we will explain what function each of them does.
The first icon is the house and this is simply a way for you to quit the Mega Moolah slot and head back to the main front page of your choice of online casino, should you wish to play a different game or just quit your session at any point.
Underneath this are what look like credit cards and you will not be surprised to learn that these are all linked to your banking details, If you need to add extra funds into your account, or withdraw some cash from your account back to your bank, then this link will quickly take you to your casino account details to enable you to do this, without having to quit the game, go back to the home screen of the casino and then access your banking details from there.
Below this option are what appear to be two cogs and these are the main Game Settings options. There are only three to access here, Sounds, Quick Spin and Show Mini Pay Tables, and these settings can be switched either on or off depending on your own preferences for the game.
The fourth option is the 'I' symbol and this is without doubt the most useful part of this entire menu as this is the pay table and game information section. This brings up plenty of details on all the different aspects of the Mega Moolah slot including details on the Symbols and Pay Lines, the Jackpot Bonus Game, the four Progressive Jackpots, the Lion Wild and the Free Spins bonus round.
The pay table updates as you increase or decrease the amount you bet, so you can be sure the amounts shown relate to the amount your bet amount is set at in the game.
The final option is a shield symbol, and this brings up details of the sites Responsible Gambling Policy and gives players advice and help on ensuring that they gamble responsibly. You can find lots of links and useful information in this detailed subsection about many different tools and strategies you can use to control your gambling and reduce the risk of irresponsible gambling.
As you can see, most of what you need to play Mega Moolah can be accessed directly from within the game console itself without having to navigate back to your casino main page or similar. That makes playing the game quick and easy.
These items are not the exciting part of the Mega Moolah slot by any means, but they are an integral part of how the slot works well and why it is so appealing and many of them can be extremely useful to players who want to enjoy the most positive experience possible when playing the slot.
