Microgaming announces new games for August and strikes new deals

Microgaming have announced a number of games that they are set to release across their sites through August 2020 and among them are some exciting new titles and the return of some familiar old names too.

As the Microgaming press release announcing the releases put it Microgaming is set to welcome "powerful gods and mythical creatures to its platform this month," which all sounds rather exciting!

We have already had the first release of August 2020 and that came last week with the release of the Ancient Warriors slot by Crazy Tooth Studio. This 4 reel slot with six symbols on each reel and an Any Ways Pay system in place, offers something a little different to your standard game, and the addition of a Feature Symbol which can improve or lower a players chances of a big win, depending on when and where it is landed, gives this game a little extra edge.

The next slot to hit casinos will come on Tuesday August 11 and it will be a new game from Alchemy Gaming called Goldaur Guardians. This high volatility slot is based on an epic fantasy theme featuring all kinds of weird and wonderful characters. The 20 pay line game will also include Microgaming's Hyperspins game mechanic and the chance to win some very large sums when you play the game.

Also set for release on that day is a title called Retro Galaxy. Less is known about this slot but we believe it is by a new studio called Half Pixel Studios and it is a 5x3 reel, 243 Ways to Win, higher variance slot game that can be played from 0.20 to 20.00 per spin.

We also know that there will be the Rolling Reels feature in play on this new slot and that Multiplier Trails will be in action in both the base game and the Free Spins bonus rounds, which could see you win up to a maximum of 7,300x your total bet. We also know that with its neon-façade and retro eighties theme, it should appeal to fans of this particular type of game.

A week later, Just For The Win's latest slot game will hit casinos with the release of the Wolf Howl slot. This 10 pay line slot is played across a 5x3 reel set and boasts the chance to win up to 25,000x your bet.

This new slot boasts a number of exciting features including the option to buy the Free Spins bonus round in the base game, for a larger bet amount, plus you can also land Wolf Multiplier Wilds across the reels to land some big value wins. In addition. A couple of days later, the focus will turn to Stormcraft Studios next release which is an update of one of the most popular sporting-themed slots released by Microgaming. The original Ice Hockey themed Break-Away slot has already had one reworking, but now it has another in the shape of Break Away Lucky Wilds, released on the 20^th August.

Stormcraft have taken the hugely enjoyable game engine from the original slot and kept the majority, adding some additional features to make the game even more enjoyable including the chance to win three fixed jackpot prizes, three different Free Spins bonus features, each of which offers its own number of Free Spins and different Multiplier Trails offering you the chance to land larger value wins.

On the 25^th August, we will also get a look at one of the eagerly awaited games of the summer from Foxium as the 3 Tiny Gods slot is released. Other games set to hit casinos this month as part of Microgaming's content aggregation service include Lil Devil from Big Time Gaming, 243 Crystal Fruits Reversed from Tom Horn Gaming and Viking Reign by Ainsworth.

Digital Tournaments

One other exciting new development is the news that Microgaming will be hosting a special range of what they call 'digital tournaments" throughout August which will focus on giving players the chance to experience some of the thrills of playing some of the company's latest releases. We will bring you more details about these tournaments when we have them.

New content deals

In all, Microgaming expect to release around 50 new titles across their studios and content aggregate partners throughout August and the reason for this high number is the fact that the Isle of Man-based company has continued to strike deals with slots providers to bring their products to customers on the Microgaming platform.

Back in June, they agreed a deal with SpinPlay Games to add their content to their platform and then in July, a deal with the Nevada-based developer Gold Coin Studios was announced, together with the release of the first slot in that deal Arthur's Gold.

However, the work has not stopped there. A short time later, Microgaming announced an exciting new dimension of esports betting for its customers as part of a deal with esports betting specialists Unikrn, and them further deals have since been announced with Stakelogic and most recently Eyecon.

Add these names to the list of companies working with Microgaming and bringing their slot games on the Microgaming platform, plus the 10 studios Microgaming works with exclusively, and it is easy to see why there are so many brand new games in the pipeline.

All in all, with some fantastic new releases on the schedule for August, plus some forthcoming titles being worked on by the plethora of Microgaming partners, it is an exciting time to be a slot gamer.
