Microgaming goes back to its Rootz with Wildz new distribution deal
Microgaming have announced another distribution deal in the last few days, announcing that they have agreed a deal with the casino brand Rootz Ltd to provide Microgaming slots and games to their new casino brand Wildz.
Rootz Ltd were formed back in 2017 and the company has successfully applied for and received a gaming licence from the Maltese Gaming Authority, which has given the company the opportunity to launch its first online casino, Wildz.
Through this deal with Microgaming, it means that any customers at Wildz will have access to a massive choice of Microgaming slots including the likes of all-time classics like Thunderstruck II, Avalon, Immortal Romance and Terminator 2.
Furthermore, the deal also includes access to the full range of Microgaming progressive jackpot games, which includes the likes of Major Millions, King Cashalot, Treasure Nile and of course, the record-breaking Mega Moolah progressive jackpot slot, where the jackpot has, at the time of writing, climbed to over 4 million.
Speaking after the announcement of the link up between the companies, Lasse Rantata, the Chief Executive of Rootz Ltd stated:
"We are excited to announce that we will be launching with Microgaming through our Wildz brand."
"As Microgaming is one of the longest-standing companies in the iGaming industry, it is important for us that we carry their large selection of games which online casino players know well."
In return, the Chief Commercial Officer at Microgaming, Jean-Luc Ferriere responded:
"We are delight to join forces with Rootz [Ltd] in a deal that will bring our diverse content to their online casino players, who can look forward to an entertaining collection of Microgaming's most popular and engaging games."
Wildz is also part of the expanding Wildz Network, which the company set up shortly after entering into a partnership agreement with the Swedish-based payment company Zimpler.
The deal allows customers at Wildz use their mobile phone to make payments into and from their Wildz account using only their device and the Zimpler software. Currently, the software is only available to players based in Finland, but it is expected that Zimpler will be rolled out across other countries over the coming months.
Why is signing a deal with Microgaming important for Wildz?
For any new company seeking to establish a presence in the burgeoning online casino gaming market, tying up with Microgaming makes great sense. Not only does the Isle of Man-based company have a very solid reputation for producing high quality slot games, but it is also one of the most familiar names in the industry today, having been in business since 1994 and Microgaming are also believed to be the company that operated the first ever online casino.
Since those early days, the company has established itself at the forefront of online casino gaming both as a game developer and also as a partner in the Casino Rewards network, a group of casinos which offer Microgaming slot games, including progressive jackpot slots, to millions of customers around the world.
What exciting Microgaming games and Wildz customers look forward to playing?
The deal will bring Microgaming's extensive back catalogue of games, as well as a number of new and forthcoming releases to the Wildz casino.
In addition to a number of high-quality older titles that have proven to be popular over time including the likes of Jurassic Park, Thunderstruck II, Game of Thrones, Break Da Bank and Immortal Romance, the deal will also allow Wildz customers the chance to enjoy some of Microgaming's newer titles.
This includes games developed by third-party providers, but which are part of a deal the studio has signed with Microgaming and which will then be released as Microgaming games. There have been a number of releases along those lines over the last year or so and some of the games released include the likes of Fortunium, Lucha Legends, The Greal Albini, Zombie Hoard and Reel Splitter.
Also included in the deal will be the option to play some of the sequels that have been recently developed to Microgaming classic slots, such as the new Agent Jane Blonde Returns slot, the new Lara Croft Temples and Tombs slot, the third game in the Lara Croft/Tomb Raider series of games and also the ice hockey themed Break Away Deluxe and the brand new Break da Bank Again Respins, which was only released at the end of August 2019.
Alongside these fantastic new slots, Microgaming have also been busy updating its casino gaming options and thanks to another third party agreement, the company has released a number of new casino games recently including Roulette, American Roulette, European Blackjack and the most recent release is an exciting new game called Sapphire Roulette.
Furthermore, only last week Microgaming announced the first two scratchcard games in a series that focuses on creating scratchcard versions of some of the company's most popular slot games. The first two scratchcards are based on the Lucky Leprechaun and Immortal Romance slots and these are now available to play in Microgaming-affiliated casinos. More games of this particular genre are expected to follow in the coming months.
With a back catalogue of many hundreds of games, and a myriad of new games being released every month, Wildz customers should enjoy the broad range of casino games, slots and scratchcards that are now available thanks to this deal with Microgaming.
Wildz join other deals signed by Microgaming
This latest deal between Wildz and Microgaming is the latest in a number of deals that Microgaming have signed with companies in the past few months to expand the number of customers that can play their games. Similar deals have been signed with companies such as Mansion, BGO and 888 Casino.
This is in addition to increasing its presence with deals with other companies all over the world, with the company signing deals to bring its games to casino providers in the likes of Denmark, Bulgaria, Colombia and most recently through a deal with the SKS35 Group in Italy.
The net effect of this strategy meaning that there are now more Microgaming slots available with more providers in more countries around the world than ever before, and now Wildz is the latest company to join the fold.
