Microgaming outline an exciting game release schedule for January 2020
In the release, Microgaming have announced that they intend to "launch an array of exclusive new titles developed by its roster of independent studios and game development partners" throughout the month.
Having already released an incredible five new slots in December 2019, plus two new card games and a scratchcard, you would be forgiven that Microgaming would be resting on their laurels a little for the first month of 2020, but that thought can be dispelled with the Isle of Man-based company detailing a busy release schedule for the month of January 2020 in their latest press release on their website.
The four slots are scheduled to be released a week apart throughout January, starting on the 7th and finishing on the 28th, so what are the four games set to hit casinos this month and what are their most appealing features?
Book of Atem (Release Date - January 7th)
Book of Atem is the fourth release from All41 Studios as part of their exclusive agreement with Microgaming, following on from the release of Le Kaffee Bar (in June 2019), Magic of Sahara (July 2019) and the Lock a Luck (November 2019) slots.
Set in ancient Egypt, a familiar setting for slot games, this is a five reel slot that has a total of 10 pay lines in play on each spin. The game boasts its own Free Spins bonus round that features special Expanding Symbols, which can increase the value of your win significantly.
The key symbol on the reels is the Magic Book, which acts as both a Wild and also as a Scatter and with this symbol alone you could win up to 5,000x your standard bet. Double Lucky Line (Release Date - January 14th)
The second release in January 2020 will come on the 14th and this is the Double Lucky Line slot from Just For The Win. The development company have launched a number of Microgaming slots over the years but this is a somewhat unusual 5-reel slot that has 17 pay lines in play.
Another feature of the slot, and what gives it its name, is that there are a number of double symbols on the reels, including pairs of dragons, turtles and frogs, all of which can combine with other symbols of its type to produce higher value wins. With the Double Lucky Line feature in play on each spin, this ensures that you will only ever land these double symbols on the middle reel, thereby giving you a better chance of a better value win in the base game mode.
The game also features Random Wilds occurring on the reels to help facilitate better value wins and a Free Spins mode which also features Lucky Wilds, which can award additional Free Spins, as well as unlocking further positions for double symbols to land across other reels.
African Quest (Release Date - January 21st)
Third up in January 2020 for Microgaming is the sixth release from their partner company Triple Edge Studios. Following on from the Book of Oz, Bookie of Odds, Ancient Fortunes: Zeus, and Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, the company's next release will be the African Quest slot.
This is a different set up to most Microgaming offerings with a 5x4 reel set up and a massive 1024 Ways to Win across the reels and it also features the Hyperspins mode which has been a hit on other releases by the company such as Break da Bank Again Respins.
The key to the bigger value wins in the slot is Kubwa, the high paying lion symbol that is stacked on the reels and which can land you some big value wins. Their new slot is called The Incredible Balloon Machine and it offers something completely different to your standard slot.
