Microgaming reveals details of a Deadmau5 branded slot coming in 2020

In some of the biggest news this week in terms of new slot releases, Microgaming have announced that they will be releasing a brand new Deadmou5 branded music slot, a new Game of Thrones slot and a new Tarzan game later in the year.

The new Game of Thrones slot is currently in development with Slingshot Studios, who have already developed the A Dark Matter, Banana Odyssey, Cash of Kingdoms and Zombie Hoard slots for Microgaming as part of their supplier deal, and the new Game of Thrones slot will be the next game in the series after the first version of the slot was released back in 2014.

This first incarnation of the game was available in both 15 pay line and 243 Ways to Win versions, although both slots had similar features and similar jackpot prizes, including the chance to select one of four houses to represent, together with a number of Free Spins and multiplier bonuses, in the exciting Free Spins bonus round.

With the smash hit TV series coming to an end with the controversial finale of the eighth series in 2019, a run of series which saw it land 159 Prime Time Emmy Award nominations, 59 wins as well as seven Golden Globe Award nominations with one win, interest in the TV show and the forthcoming books, still being penned by author George R.R. Martin, remains incredibly high.

The title of the new game is Game of Thrones Power Stacks and In their press release, Microgaming promise that the new game will incorporate some of the leading characters from the series as they take on a fresh new adventure through the wild and wonderous lands of Westeros.

Microgaming will be displaying details about their new Game of Thrones slot at the ICE London 2020 event which started on the 4th February.

Speaking about the forthcoming release, the Chief Commercial Officer at Microgaming, Jean-Luc Ferriere remarked:

"The Game of Thrones brand has garnered a devoted following among viewers, along with incredible media attention. We are excited to extend our partnership with HBO to supply a new Game of Thrones online slot that honours and builds on the brand's immense popularity. In the spirit of the show, we will be working hard to deliver a quality, feature-rich slot game so that players can enjoy an authentic Game of Thrones gaming experience."

The exact release date of the new slot is not yet known, although the fact that it is being shown at ICE London 2020, suggests that it is possibly likely to be a date sooner in the year than later.

Deadmau5 branded slot coming in 2020

In addition to the big news regarding the release of a new Game of Thrones slot, Microgaming have also announced another exciting new release that certainly looks like being hugely original. They have teamed up with the electronic DJ star Deadmau5 and their partner studio Eurostar Studios, to produce an exciting electronic music-themed slot due for release later in the year.

The Grammy-nominated star has been wowing crowds across the world on his latest tour cube v3 and he has an extensive catalogue of successful albums and singles behind him as a producer of some of the world's most popular dance and electronic music.

The new slot, which as yet does not have an official name, will also be revealed at ICE London 2020 and will team up the creative genius of deadmau5's music and sound, with Microgaming's innovative slots game engine and mechanics.

"The addition of deadmau5 to our sizeable branded content offering, which already includes some of the biggest names in entertainment, highlights our commitment to diversifying and innovating across our range." Stated Mr Ferriere regarding the announcement.

"We look forward to launching this unique online slot to operators later this year."

However this and the Game of Thrones slot are not the only games that Microgaming will be revealing at ICE 2020 that they have kept a closely guarded secret until now.

New Tarzan slot set to swing into casinos in 2020

Another new slot that is set for release later on in the year is a brand new Tarzan slot game. Back in 2016, Microgaming struck a deal with ERB, INC. to begin work on a Tarzan slot game and this beautiful creation was released later that same year, to plenty of positive acclaim from the slots community.

Four years on from that date, a second Tarzan slot is now in development with Fortune Factory Studios, one of Microgaming partner developers, who have been responsible six fantastic releases with Microgaming, Holly Jolly Penguins, Romanov Riches, Showdown Saloon, Village People Macho Moves, Long Mu Fortunes and most recently Tiki Mania.

The new slot is being designed to be faithful to the original Edgar Rice Burroughs novels that featured the daring jungle dweller, as well as being a natural follow on to the original Tarzan slot.

Whether some of the features that made the first game such a hit will make it into the sequel remains to be seen with Microgaming promising that the new game will be 'designed from scratch' so that it has its own 'unique look and feel'.

The hero of the novels will of course feature extensively throughout the game and given the high quality of the animations and sound of the original, it is going to be exciting to see just how Fortune Factory can build on what was already a visually stunning first game, to produce something that is every bit as dazzling and exciting as the original.

Fans attending ICE London 2020 will be able to see a sneak preview of the Tarzan slot, as well as the other two newly announced slots from Microgaming too. Furthermore, another significant news item from Microgaming means that more customers than ever may soon be able to enjoy these three and plenty of other top Microgaming slots in future.

Microgaming games to feature at GVC Casino's after agreement struck

Microgaming and GVC Holdings PLC have agreed a new agreement that will see a number of top casinos part of the GVC network offering Microgaming games to their customers.

This extensive list of sites includes the likes of Coral, Galabingo, Ladbrokes and Betdaq and the deal expands on a previous agreement struck in 2017, which saw a number of Microgaming slots and games available to customers in Spain, Italy, Belgium and the UK through GVC sites such as bwin, partycasino and partypoker.

Speaking about the moneyspinning agreement, Chief Operating Officer at Microgaming Andrew Clucas commented:

"Home to an extensive portfolio of leading brands, GVC are a key partner for Microgaming. Both Microgaming and GVC strive to provide the market with immersive, entertainment-driven experiences, and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with them."

This means that not only do Microgaming have three big new releases coming in 2020, but those games (and many others) will now be played by an even greater number of slot game enthusiasts. 2020 promises to be an exciting year ahead for slot players and we'll review each of these games!
