Microgaming sign Crazy Tooth Studio to its growing stable of game developers

Microgaming are intent on spreading their net even further afield with the news announced today that they have signed another long-term agreement with the Crazy Tooth Studio game development company. Not only that, but the first collaboration between the two has also gone live just two days ago.

You may well recall in recent times that we have brought you news of Microgaming entering into a number of agreements with independent software development companies and studios, with the aim of these companies, like Just For The Win and Stormcraft Studios, providing exclusive content for Microgaming.

That new games is Arctic Valor and it promises to be something a little different to the standard Microgaming slot. That is because it has six-reels in play and a massive 4096 Ways to Win, rather than pay lines. The game is loosely based on Norse mythology, which will certainly appeal to Microgaming slots fans who have fallen in love with the Thunderstruck and Thunderstruck II slots which are also based on a Norse theme.

The game itself, as well as having more reels and ways to win than usual, also boasts a number of exciting new features including a Falling Icicle feature, which can trigger a number of bonus features to land upon the reels on any given spin in the base game. There is also a Free Spins Bonus game which allows players seven free spins with many more falling Icicles offering a much greater chance of a bigger value win.

Stay tuned for our first review of this new game which will be coming very shortly, once we have had chance to play it thoroughly and digest what it has to offer, which all appears to be somewhat exciting.

It is certainly a promising start for the collaboration between Microgaming and Crazy Tooth Studio, so let's learn a little more about the company.

About Crazy Tooth Studio

The company was founded back in 2011 and is based in the Atomik City Building in Reno, Nevada, USA. Crazy Tooth Studio is a studio which uses their own game development framework, known as CTS Arsenal, to help them design, produce and then realise their games as quickly as possible.

They believe that the flexibility offered by their CTS Arsenal software allows them to create innovative new games by allowing them to change any aspect of the game. This ensures that Crazy Tooth Studio produces games that are radically different from another, rather than creating a template which is then used repeatedly to offer different games, but all of which have the same underlying structure (in the same way that Thunderstruck II and Immortal Romance are essentially the same structure, just in different slots).

It is certainly an exciting prospect to think that radically different new slots could be on the way for Microgaming casinos in 2019 and beyond and it will be interesting to see how the new Arctic Valor slot performs in Microgaming casinos over the coming months as it is a very different game to your typical Microgaming slot.

Although Arctic Valor is the first slot that Crazy Tooth Studio have produced for Microgaming, they do have an extensive number of other titles including Queen of the Crystal Rays, Prism Paradise, Wrecking Ball, Dream Pool, Silver Skies, Glacier Hammer and Celestial Towers of Gold to name but a few.

The Agreement

It is clear that both Crazy Tooth Studio and Microgaming are excited that this new partnership will allow both companies to push the boundaries of what is possible with slot games still further. Speaking after the announcement, Ben Hoffman, the president at Crazy Tooth Studio stated:

"We are very excited to be working with Microgaming, whose extraordinary position in the market, diverse portfolio of excellent games and extensive list of operators will enable us to greatly diversify our capabilities and deliver our range of innovative slots and games to new audiences. We are thrilled to release Arctic Valor as our first exclusive game for Microgaming"

Echoing the positive tone, Microgaming's game publisher David Reynolds stated:

"Arctic Valor provides a visually stunning journey into a land of ice and snow, complete with a fantastically vibrant, Norse-tinged atmosphere. With 4,096 ways to win, players can also look forward to smashing their way through some truly epic rewards via the game's unique and suspenseful icicle feature."

Microgaming press release:

Microgaming continue to diversify

This latest agreement with Crazy Tooth Studio is just the latest in a significant number of agreements that Microgaming have put in place over the last year or so with a number of software development studios around the globe, all of whom will now be producing exclusive content for Microgaming.

In the last year, we have already seen the likes of Slingshot Studios, Stormcraft Studios and Just For The Win release a number of titles for Microgaming, as the Isle of Man-based company seeks to move away from its own team designing the majority of its games, to allowing other development teams to produce their own exclusive content for the company.

In the past year, this has seen a number of exciting games released including the likes of Fortunium, Sidewinder, Lucha Legends, Reel Talent, Astro Legends Lyra and Erion, Icy Gems, Book of Oz and the most recent release prior to Arctic Valor, Shogun of Time.

This is great news for Microgaming customers as it means that the company not only has a variety of teams from all over the world working on new games (the Crazy Tooth Studios site reveals that it is working on a number of new titles, some of which we presume will be exclusively for Microgaming) but it also means that the games will be richly diversified and offer a much broader range of slots experiences to players, than if they had simply been developed in house.

The net result of this means that for Microgaming customers, not only will they get a more varied choice of slot games to play, but they will also likely get more releases to enjoy throughout the year, with a busy release schedule behind the company in 2018, it already looks like 2019 is going to be another busy year with some top slots, such as the new Village People slot, already in the pipeline.
