The Mega Jackpot rolls on: Mega Moolah hits twelve million and counting

We wondered if the Mega Moolah jackpot would be won at around the 11 million mark and we have our answer. Just a few minutes ago, the jackpot rolled around over the 12 million mark meaning that the next Mega Moolah jackpot winner will land one of the seven top jackpots ever landed on the famous progressive jackpot slot.

Only six other jackpots have been landed for more than 12 million and if the jackpot manages to increase further, and is won by a British Pound player, then we could have a realistic challenger to the highest ever British Pound win, a £13.2 million win landed in October 2015 by Jonathan Heywood.

There's still some way to go to surpass the biggest ever win, in numerical terms, on the Mega Moolah slot, which stands at over 20 million in Canadian dollars, but even so, any jackpot win in the next few days would see the lucky player land the seventh highest numerical winning amount in the game's history.

To climb up to sixth spot, the jackpot would have to reach almost £13 million, but if it does then a number of prizes are well within reach which could see it climb to the fourth largest jackpot ever won quite quickly.

How quickly is the Mega Moolah Jackpot increasing at the moment?

At the moment, the Mega Jackpot is increasing at the rate of about 150,000 per day, although the rate of increase is variable over different days.

At this rate of increase, this means that if the jackpot is not won in the next seven days or so, then we will hit the 13 million mark around a week from now and for every week after that, if the rate of jackpot increase remains the same, it will increase by a further million every seven days or so.

However, what has been found is that as the jackpot climbs higher, the rate at which it increases also speeds up, which is as a result of more players playing the game for more spins, hoping that they will be the lucky player to trigger the Jackpot Bonus Game and land that Mega jackpot.

How high could the jackpot go?

There is no limit set on how far the Mega Moolah jackpot could rise to. The largest amount it has ever awarded was a prize of over 20 million (paid in Canadian Dollars), so we can safely say that the jackpot tends to be won before then.

However, there is no guidelines as to when the jackpot will be won as this process is entirely random. It could happen in the next few minutes, hours or days, or the jackpot could carry on increasing for several weeks or even months as yet.

Is the jackpot more likely to be won now than before?

It may seem more likely that the jackpot will be won now than at any point before this time, but in truth you have the same chance to trigger the jackpot at any point whenever you play regardless of the size of the jackpot or how long it has been between triggers of the jackpot prize.

What we can say is that with more people playing the game and more spins being played on the game, the chances of someone winning it due to those factors alone, will increase but that does not mean it will definitely be won any time soon.

Could the next winner be the first Mega Vault Millionaire winner?

We know that the original Mega Moolah slot has produced many winners and in May, the Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah slot produced its first jackpot winner since the game release. As it stands, two games, Absolootly Mad and the Casino Rewards exclusive Mega Vault Millionaire slot, are yet to produce a winner.

As such, if either of these games do produce the next winner, it will be their inaugural win!

Can I increase my chances of triggering the Jackpot Bonus Game?

Yes, you can but to do this you need to do either or both of the following:

  • Play more spins and/or,
  • Pay more per spin than you ordinarily do.

Your chances of triggering the Jackpot Bonus Game increase as you increase the size of your bet, however that doesn't mean that if you play maximum bet on any game, you are certain to trigger the bonus. There is still a large random factor involved in the selection of the Jackpot Bonus Game.

If you imagine playing more per spin is like buying more tickets for a lottery whereas playing more spins is like entering several lotteries once each time. Both increase your chances of a win, but not to the point where a win is guaranteed.

So with the Mega Moolah jackpot at more than 12 million, the question on everybody's lips is when the next winner will be landed.

The only thing we know for certain is the next winner will have clicked the Spin button and then had a huge slice of good fortune go their way to claim the win.
