Wheel of Wishes slot comes with a guaranteed Wowpot Jackpot worth 2m!
With the new Wheel of Wishes slot set for an imminent release, and a demo version of the game now available to play online, people are growing excited about the massive progressive jackpot prize available on this brand-new game from Microgaming and Alchemy Gaming.
Seeded at 2 million, the highest seed amount for any Microgaming progressive, the Wowpot Jackpot is just one of the progressive jackpot prizes available to be won on the new slot, and this life-changing amount of money is already starting to turn heads in the slots community.
So much so that we are willing to bet that Wheel of Wishes becomes one of the must play games of 2020 and beyond, in much the same way that another Microgaming progressive classic, Mega Moolah, has over the years and is still paying out life-changing jackpots!
So what is about this new game and that massive Wowpot Jackpot that makes it so appealing? We decided to take a closer look at the Wowpot Jackpot in particular. Starting with a clear definition of what the Wowpot Jackpot actually is.
The 'new' Wowpot Jackpot
The Wowpot Jackpot is the highest progressive jackpot prize on the new slot game Wheel of Wishes by Alchemy Gaming, as part of their exclusive agreement to produce slots for Microgaming. Featuring a new Power Mode feature, which is the key to accessing the Wheel of Wishes bonus round, where you can win one of the progressive jackpots, this slot is very different to other Microgaming progressives.
The massive expectation on this new slot is built on the fact that it has the largest ever seeded prize on a Microgaming slot; a 2 million minimum jackpot prize called the Wowpot. And if that name sounds familiar, then there is a good reason for that.
A history of the Wowpot on the Microgaming Progressive Network
If the name of the big progressive jackpot prize on the Wheel of Wishes slot sounds familiar, then that is because until recently, Wowpot was a standalone slot game that was part of the Microgaming Progressive Network. The slot was a relatively small jackpot prize, running up to about 10,000 in size and it was one of the smaller jackpot prizes on the network.
However, Microgaming decided to utilise this jackpot in a different way and removed the original Wowpot slot from circulation a while ago. The Wowpot jackpot was then reused in the Wheel of Wishes slot, although it was significantly increased in value, with a new seed amount of 2 million, a massive increase from the original Wowpot funding level.
The four Progressive Jackpot prizes on Wheel of Wishes
It is worth pointing out at this point that the Wheel of Wishes slot does not have one single progressive jackpot prize, but instead has four. Each of which is seeded at a different amount and which will, in all likelihood, be triggered at different periods of time, with the smaller prizes being won considerably more often.
The four different progressive jackpot prizes on the Wheel of Wishes slot and their seeding amounts are as follows:
- Mini - Seeded at 10.00
- Minor - Seeded at 100.00
- Major - Seeded at 50,000
- Wowpot - Seeded at 2,000,000
How much could the Wowpot Jackpot grow to?
This is the question that many slot players that are excited to play the Wheel of Wishes slot are keen to have answered and in truth, the answer is that with no upper limit set for the top progressive jackpot prize on the slot, then the Wowpot Jackpot could grow to literally any size, given enough time and enough spins on the game.
Of course, you can't guess when a winner will be landed on a slot, especially a new progressive jackpot game, but what you can do is take a look at how the game is set up and how the jackpot is funded and given that this is a 2 million seeded prize pool, I can't see Microgaming setting up a game that is going to see them have to seed that prize every week or so, as it would simply cost too much.
As such, I feel given the size of this progressive, that this jackpot could well grow well beyond two million relatively frequently. However how high the jackpot could go is still unknown. For comparison, we have had one Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize of over 20 million in Canadian Dollars, which is from a 1 million seed amount. At the same rate, that would equate to a prize of around 40 million in Wheel of Wishes!
How do you win the Wowpot Jackpot in the Wheel of Wishes slot?
To win a shot at the Wowpot Jackpot, or indeed any of the other three progressive jackpot prizes on the Wheel of Wishes slot, you need to have triggered the Power Mode. You can do this in one of two ways. Firstly, if you play the base game and hit a standard spin and land two Power Mode Scatters on the reels, you will trigger the bonus mode.
Alternatively, and for a cost of 10x the standard bet, you can turn Power Mode on before you spin. Be aware, this will massively increase your bet (if your standard bet in the base game is say 1.00, then in Power Mode, this will increase to 10.00 per spin).
On any Power Mode spin, you will see the outer reels (the first and fifth) all change to one symbol, selected at random from those in the game. The middle three reels will then combine into one large reel and on this reel are large versions of the game symbols, each measuring 3x3 spaces. Combine these large symbols with the symbols on the first and fifth reels and you can win a decent amount of cash.
However, if you land the large Power Mode Scatter in full on the middle reel, that is all of the symbol is displayed on the reel, then you trigger the bonus game, which is where you get to spin the Wheel of Wishes.
It is on this spin of the wheel that you will win one of the four progressive jackpot prizes available, Mini, Minor, Major and the Wowpot.

How often will the Wowpot Jackpot be won?
This is the key question that many slot players are going to be hugely interested in and although you can infer how often a slot's top prize will be won, based on how the slot is set up, there is always such a degree of randomness involved, especially with progressive jackpot prizes, that the chances of the game playing out exactly how it is set up to, are fairly remote.
This is clearly evident when you look at other progressives. On Mega Moolah for example, there have been differences of over a year or just a couple of hours between genuine top progressive jackpot pay outs over the years and I am willing to bet that the Wowpot Jackpot pays on the Wheel of Wishes slot will likely be equally diverse.
What is true is that Alchemy Gaming have set up this slot to trigger the key bonuses more often, but that doesn't necessarily mean you are going to see the top jackpot prizes won any more frequently. It may be easy to trigger a bonus feature, but very hard to progress through that to land the biggest of the jackpot prizes.
Don't believe any reviews that tell you the Wowpot Jackpot is set to be won every X weeks or every Y months. The degree of randomness built in to the slot means that you can win the jackpot on any spin, at any time, but it is just very difficult to do so, as is the case in any progressive slot.
So while we don't know when the first big money winner on the Wheel of Wishes slot will be confirmed, we do know that it is going to be an exciting few days, weeks, or even months before we get that lucky winner.
And remember, if you are having yourself a few spins on the mobile Wowpot slot jackpot, then that winner could be you!
