Wheel of Wishes slot has been paying out big Major Jackpots wins of late
What an exciting time it is to be playing on the Wowpot Progressive Jackpot network of games. Not only have we seen the release of two brand new slot games part of that network, but we have also seen a marked upturn in the number of players playing the game and that has had a knock-on effect on both the size of the jackpots and the number of big money Major Jackpots being won.
It is fair to say that the release of the two new Wowpot-linked progressive jackpot games, Book of Atem Wowpot and Sisters of Oz Wowpot, has had the desired effect for Microgaming with September being one of the most successful months on record for players on the network with an incredible NINE Major Jackpot winners already confirmed in September, compared to just two that were landed back in August of the same jackpot prize.
And it is worth bearing in mind that we still have a few days left in September when we could see even more winners added to that incredible amount.
Of course, more jackpot winners mean that there are more players playing the Wowpot progressive jackpot slot games and this has also had an effect on the speed at which the progressive jackpot is increasing. After a relatively slow start over the past few months since its February release date, the Wowpot progressive jackpot prize is now climbing much more quickly and could well crash through the 7 million mark at some point in the next day or two.
However, so far the Wowpot jackpot has yet to be won by any player on any of the three Wowpot progressive jackpot games, but that cannot be said for the Major Jackpot prize.
Over the last three months, there have been a total of 14 Major Jackpot triggers with nine of those coming in September alone. It surely cannot be any coincidence that given the number of Wowpot games available trebled in September, the number of jackpot wins triggered in the month has also exploded with around three times as many jackpot triggers so far in September.
Indeed over the last six months, there have been a total of 20 Major Jackpot triggers in the trio of slots, and we have landed almost half those winners in September alone.
A good measure of this is the average days that elapse between Major Jackpot winners and fortunately, since this data is now readily available on the Sisters of Oz Wowpot slot underneath each of the jackpots, we can be sure that on average there have been eight days between Major Jackpot winners.
However with nine winners in September up to the 23rd, this means we have had fewer than three days elapse between winners in that month, which goes to show that the Major Jackpot has been paying out big money over that time.
Indeed, it does seem to be that with three times as many games to now play for the jackpot prizes, they seem to be triggered about three times as often!
So let's take a closer look at some of the big money jackpot wins that have landed in September 2020, remembering the key dates being September 1st for the release of the Book of Atem Wowpot slot, followed by the Sisters of Oz Wowpot slot hitting casinos on the 8th September.
Major Jackpot winners in September 2020
| Jackpot | Amount | Date Won |
|---|---|---|
| Major | 50,106.70 | 2020-09-22 00:45 |
| Major | 87,776.07 | 2020-09-21 09:50 |
| Major | 50,014.19 | 2020-09-15 19:00 |
| Major | 113,742.68 | 2020-09-15 17:00 |
| Major | 99,268.05 | 2020-09-11 10:30 |
| Major | 162,542.87 | 2020-09-08 15:40 |
| Major | 155,038.11 | 2020-09-08 07:25 |
| Major | 247,803.98 | 2020-09-06 04:55 |
| Major | 436,312.13 | 2020-09-04 14:40 |
So far there have been a total of nine Major Jackpot winners in September 2020. Let's look at these wins in order.
- 4th September - 436,312.13
This first jackpot win was the largest win of the month in numeric terms coming in at over 436,000, which made it the largest prize awarded in the Major Jackpot history, outstripping the last largest prize which was for just over 329,000 back in February 2020.
Given what the jackpot reset back to following the award of this win, it is likely that the win was landed in a currency such as the New Zealand or Canadian Dollar as the Major Jackpot reset back to just over 200,000 following this win, which meant that the next time the jackpot would trigger, it would be for another large amount and we didn't have to wait long for that trigger
- 6th September - 247,803.98
The second winner in September was another sizeable win of almost 250,000 which would have put it in the top ten wins. It was clear by now that the speed at which the progressive jackpot was increasing and with this being the second jackpot win in the space of three days, that the release of the Book of Atem Wowpot slot had influenced the network a great deal and with the Sisters of Oz slot due out on the 8th, few could have expected what happened next.
- 8th September - 155,038.11
- 8th September - 162,542.87
On the very day that the Sisters of Oz slot was released into casinos we saw two Major Jackpots won on the same day, both for similar amounts and, unusually, the larger jackpot prize was won the second time around, which gives you a great indication of just how quickly the jackpot amounts had been rising on this day.
By now with four Major Jackpot wins in the space of five days, it was clear that the Major Jackpot was running hot and that, combined with the new games, probably added huge appeal to the Wowpot slots, which then explains why the following wins occurred.
- 11th September - 99,268.05
- 15th September - 113,752.68
- 15th September - 50,014.19
There was a relatively small jackpot win on the 11th September of just under 100,000, but then four days after that win we saw another two jackpots claimed on the same day and this time, it looks like we had a British Pound winner for the first jackpot prize as the Major progressive fund reset back to its seed amount of £50,000, and then just a couple of hours later, the jackpot was won for a second time for just over £50,000, which is probably the smallest Major Jackpot win since the game began.
- 21st September - 87,776.07
- 22nd September - 50,106.70
It looked like we had another British pound winner on the 21st September when one player landed a prize of over 87,000 as the next day, another player landed a smaller prize of just over 50,000, which suggests once again that the jackpot was reset back to its 50,000 seed amount.
With still a week to go in September and with the Wowpot jackpot already over the 7 million mark, there is every probability that we will see at least one more Major Jackpot winner on the network. Whatever happens over the last week of September, it has already been a halcyon month for the Wowpot progressive network and an exciting time for slot gamers to be playing its trio of popular slot games.
