Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah game symbols and pay outs

Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah is the third game in the last six months or so to be released by Microgaming and their partners all of which offer a shot at landing the fantastic Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize (which currently stands at over 10 million at the time of writing, and is increasing each day!).

In this article, we are going to take a closer look at the different symbols on the reels, how much they pay out and also how they are linked to some of the main features of the slot, where that is possible. Before we start our run through of the symbols, let's learn a little more about the basics of the game.

Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah - A quick summary

Developed by Triple Edge Studios for Microgaming, this new slot is due for release on May 5th 2020 and it will be the first ever Mega Moolah-linked slot that offers 243 Ways to Win on the reels, as well as Rolling Reels and a Multiplier Trail as features of the game.

Now as many people will know from playing previous versions of these types of slot, 243 Ways to Win slots can be pretty costly to play. Some costing at 0.50 a shot.

However, brilliantly Triple Edge Studios have managed to keep the cost of each spin in the Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah slot down to a minimum bet of 0.20, though you can ramp that up to 50.00 per spin to give yourself more chance of triggering a shot at the Jackpot Bonus Game (which is how you can win one of the four Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prizes).

In addition to this, there is also a Wild Symbol in the game, which is collected and added to a Golden Teapot, which again increases your chances of triggering the Jackpot Bonus Wheel when you trigger the Rolling Reels feature following a line win.

Lastly, you can also earn yourself 8 Free Spins on the game and with a jackpot of 2,343x your stake available, you could win a considerable amount of money from playing the base game alone, let alone the progressive jackpot bonuses.

The slot is based on the theme of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party from the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland story. As such, all the symbols you can find on the reels neatly fit into this theme (including, for once, the somewhat over-used playing card symbols!).

Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah - Symbols and pay out values

Listed below are all the symbols on the reels of the Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah slot, complete with their payout values, shown as a multiplier of your total stake.

Low value symbols

The four lower value symbols on the reels are the playing card suits. Each has been designed to resemble what looks like a headboard for a bed, or the back of a sofa. Quite why that is I am not sure. Each symbol also has its own colour which is different to the standard colours used in a deck of cards.

Orange Diamond

  • 5 Symbol Win - 0.8x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 0.4x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.15x

Blue Club

  • 5 Symbol Win - 1.6x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 0.4x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.15x

Green Heart

  • 5 Symbol Win - 2x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 0.5x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.15x

Red Spade

  • 5 Symbol Win - 2.4x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 0.6x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.25x

In Rolling Reels games, symbols can be stacked on top of each other to create more than one win on a spin, and you can also win using different symbols on the same spin, which can radically increase the value of your win, especially with these lower value symbols.

Higher value symbols

There are six standard higher value symbols on the reels in the Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah slot and these are all linked in with the Mad Hatter Tea Party theme in much more obvious ways. Cleverly, a number of characters have been incorporated into the design of the goodies at the tea party including the Cheshire Cat (in a jelly) and the March Hare (atop a blue clock cake).

Stopwatch

  • 5 Symbol Win - 2.5x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 0.6x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.25x

Stack of Teacups

  • 5 Symbol Win - 3x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 1x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.4x

Butterfly Cake

  • 5 Symbol Win - 3.5x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 1.25x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.4x

March Hare Cake

  • 5 Symbol Win - 4x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 1.6x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.5x

Cheshire Cat Jelly & Cake

  • 5 Symbol Win - 5x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 2x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.5x

Mad Hatter

  • 5 Symbol Win - 10x
  • 4 Symbol Win - 2.5x
  • 3 Symbol Win - 0.75x

As you can see, the win value for a single line of symbols across the reels is not that high compared to other slot games, but the way to increase win value is by landing multiple examples of the same symbols across the reels (which increases the number of lines a win is made on) or by landing multiple wins of different symbols on the initial spin.

Then when the Rolling Reels bonus kicks in, if you can land successive Rolling Reels wins, the Multiplier Trail can add value of up to 5x the standard win and this is where some of the bigger base game wins come from. During Free Spins, the values of the Multiplier Trail are increased by 3x the standard wins, which means wins of 3x, 6x 9x and 15x the standard amount. This is where you can land the biggest non-progressive jackpot wins in the game.

Feature symbols

Alongside the standard symbols outlined above, there are a number of feature symbols on the reels and we have listed these and details on how they are utilised in the game, below.

Mad Hatters Gold Coin Wild

The Wild symbol only serves as a substitute for other symbols on the reel during the base game and Free Spins round. It appears only on the middle three reels.

However, each time you land a Wild, the coin will be added to the Golden Teapot. The more coins you add to the Golden Teapot and the higher your stake for each spin, the greater your chances of triggering the Jackpot Bonus Wheel game when you next trigger the Rolling Reels feature.

When this happens and Rolling Reels comes to an end, the game will randomly see if you have triggered the Jackpot Bonus Wheel. If you do, you will be taken to that bonus game (see below) to spin the wheel to win one of the four Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prizes. If not, you will simply be taken back to play the base game.

Wooden Door Scatter

The Wooden Door symbol is the Scatter symbol in the game and it appears only on the first, third and fifth reels. You need to land the symbol on each of those three reels on the same spin in order to trigger the Free Spins bonus round.

During Free Spins, you will receive 8 Free Spins (which you can re-trigger by landing three Scatters once again during the bonus round).

In addition, the Multiplier Trail Value increases by 3x the base game amount during the Free Spins bonus, which means any rolling reel wins will be subject to a 3x, 6x, 9x and then 15x multiplier in that order. This means any Free Spins win is guaranteed to be 3x the standard amount and subsequent Rolling Reels wins could be much greater.

One nice touch is that the Mad Hatters Gold Coin Wild symbol can be used as an additional Scatter if needed in order to trigger the Free Spins bonus round.

Jackpot Wheel Bonus Game

If you are lucky enough to trigger a shot at one of the four Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prizes from your Rolling Reels round, then you will be taken to the Jackpot Wheel bonus screen.

Here, you will have a single reel to spin, much like the bonus game in the original Mega Moolah. On the reel are different coloured sectors, each corresponding to one of the four Mega Moolah jackpot prizes. All you do is spin the wheel to land on a sector and the jackpot prize that corresponds to that sector will be awarded to you.

Of course, there is more chance of winning the Mini or Minor jackpot prizes, but the Major and occasionally the Mega jackpot will be won too and that is when the game awards its largest possible prizes.

It is fair to say that Mega Moolah fans are enthusiastically waiting to play the Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah slot for real.
