Crazy Tooth Studio are well known for their sharp graphics and unusual look for their games and the Banana Drop slot does not disappoint on either count. Each of the reels is set in the style of a banana tree with leaves at the top, hosting bananas the reason for which will become apparent as you progress through the game,

The style of the graphics is very imaginative too with all of the animals given a makeover in the game, such as by wearing sunglasses. Symbols are stacked on the reels, which can help to land some better value multiple line wins across the reels.

What is on the reels?

There are a number of different and unusual symbols on the reel on the Banana Drop slot. They start unusually with some lower value symbols that are all types of fruit or items monkeys would use or eat and they include slices of melon, coconuts and pineapples.

The mid-value symbols are the standard playing card symbols, which go from the Jack through to the Ace. Given that you can win any ways across the reels, the amount you win for each spin is generally small as there are a number of possible ways to win on each spin. For a standard spin of 3.00 per game, the 3 of a kind win for the lower value fruit symbols is just 0.20, while for the mid-value playing card symbols it is 0.30. Even 6 of a kind wins with both these symbols only pay up to 1.80.

There are four higher value symbols on the reels and they are the hippopotamus, the giraffe, the zebra and the lion. Again, single line pays do not amount to much with the top amount paid being just 2.00 (for a 3.00 spin) for landing six lions across the reels.

These wins sound tiny, but you have to remember that you can trigger many different line wins on a single spin, in any combination across any of the reels, so when you do land a good number of the same symbols on the reels, you can still land some very sizeable wins.

Wild features

There is a Wild symbol on the reels and this can substitute for all of the paying symbols on the reels (but not the Scatter symbol). This can also be stacked on the reels to help land some better value wins.

Wild symbols also form part of the main bonus feature on the Banana Drop slot, the Big Build-up feature The Falling Banana Bonus. At the top of each reel you will see as the game progresses, that bananas will appear on the leaves. When the Falling Banana feature triggers, bananas held by the tree will drop onto one or more reels. Up to three can fall per reel covering one symbol each.

Each of the bananas that you land on the reels will then reveal either a cash prize, or a Wild symbol, which can then be used with other symbols on the reels to generate a win.

Crazy Tooth Studios have produced a cracking game here and picking out which of the features of the slot are the most exciting is a very tough task. While the Banana Drop feature is a great touch, it has limited value in the base game, but when it is used in the Free Spins part of the slot then it can be much more effective and offer potentially more lucrative wins for players. As such the Free Spins bonus, although sometimes it is difficult to trigger, is without doubt the best bonus feature of the slot. However, I must add that I do love this any ways wins approach to slots and I think the flexibility this particular type of slot offers will appeal to a great many slot players.

This is another fantastic slot from Crazy Tooth Studios and no wonder that much has been made about the imminent release of this slot over the last few weeks. The game-play is fun and absorbing and although when you look at the bare facts of the slot and in particular how much the symbols pay, the game-play actually means that when you land a win, it is generally a nice amount.
