Cash of Kingdoms slot to be produced by Slingshot Studios for Microgaming

Earlier this summer, Microgaming announced that they had agreed a partnership with Stormcraft Studios, which would allow the company, along with other Microgaming partner Triple Edge Studios, to continue to develop a number of innovative slot titles exclusively for Microgaming.

And now the pool of creative teams producing content exclusively for the company has increased by one as Microgaming have announced that Slingshot Studios will now also be developing exclusive games and content for the company.

The first game to be produced by the company is he eagerly-awaited Cash of Kingdoms, which was first announced to the public on the third day of the ICE Totally Gaming 2018 exhibition earlier this year. Originally slated for a late spring release, the game was pushed back in the schedule and will now be released to play at Microgaming casinos from the 10th October 2018 on wards.

The game promises to be a reflection of the values of Slingshot Studios who are focused on taking the popular aspects of modern slot games and then giving them a twist or enhancing or adding to them in some way to give them a fresh, vibrant feel to enhance the slot gaming experience for players. In an ultra-competitive industry with many new titles each month, it is clear that Microgaming are hope that this brave approach will reap them the rewards.

A great example of these new features in the forthcoming Cash of Kingdoms slot is the Invading Wilds feature, which can be triggered in both the base game and Free Spins and which sounds very exciting, although details on how this feature will work exactly are being kept under lock and key until closer to the release date.

Speaking about the partnership, Microgaming CEO John Coleman stated:

"Microgaming's extensive digital portfolio will benefit from the unique personality and expertise of Slingshot Studios, who are developing original games with exciting engines and features, all targeted at specific markets and audiences,

"The content they have coming is fantastic and their drive to create and challenge is incredible,

"Slingshot are the latest in a number of game studios to be announced as exclusive providers to Microgaming, and we look forward to unveiling more content from them in the coming months."

The Creative Director at Slingshot Studios, Richard Vermaak echoed those sentiments;

"At Slingshot Studios, our energy and imagination push us forward. We love building games that people love to play, and we can't wait to share them with Microgaming for their operators' players to enjoy. Cash of Kingdom's is the first taste of what's to come."

It has been a long time now since a foot archer and a medieval display at ICE Totally Gaming 2018 announced the Cash of Kingdoms slot to the wider world, but gamers have less than a month to wait before they will be able to sample this first Microgaming-Slingshot Studios collaboration.

What does this mean for slots fans?

With Microgaming now having several different partnerships with a number of individual development companies, this creates a wealth of possibilities for slot gamers going forward and could well usher in a new era of games from the company.

It's fair to say that there have already been some fine releases over recent months from companies now allied with Microgaming. A good example being the recent Sidewinder slot from Just for the Win, another like the Rainbrew slot they released a short time before that features the exciting Top and Bottom Sidewinder reels, which offer you a chance to win some massive prizes, especially in the Free Spins bonus round.

For slot fans, the chance to experience games similar to these, which have features that have not been seen previously on a Microgaming slot. We already know that the new Cash of Kingdoms slot will have a new feature called Invading Wilds and what is exciting is that with free reign to create their content, these new developers can push the boundaries of slot gaming still further.

What is clear is that the most innovative of Microgaming's slot releases over the last few years, have been amongst the companies most successful releases in terms of enduring player popularity. Of course, progressive games like Mega Moolah have massive instant appeal, but standard slot games like Terminator 2, Immortal Romance, Jurassic Park, Thunderstruck II, Break Da Bank and Game of Thrones have similar appeal without the progressive element, chiefly because of the different features and bonuses they include that are very different to the norm.

Gamers should then hopefully see a slew of releases over the coming years that follow in a similar vein, by taking the standard video slot, with its Wild and Free Spins bonuses and then giving them a twist to make them unique. As we have noted previously, there is already plenty of evidence that this is the direction these partners will now take and that will only improve and diversify the types of slot Microgaming have available.

However, the most exciting aspect of these new partnerships, are the unknown factors, bonuses and features that are still to come in forthcoming releases. What features will these new companies, with their own creative talents, come up with to make their slot stand out from the crowd? In a very tough and competitive marketplace, simply releasing a generic slot that has the bog-standard features is not going to cut it nowadays. These new partnerships with Microgaming allow these companies to be even more creative, knowing they have the backing and support of one of the giants of the slot gaming industry behind them.

And of course, with more partners developing games alongside their own in-house production then in numerical terms, the number of slots that the company will release going forward may also increase too.

The future for slot players loyal to Microgaming looks very rosy indeed. With new companies joining forces with the company and producing games for them, customers can look forward to a raft of very different slots, both in terms of looks and features, that are all of the same high standard you have come to expect from any Microgaming release.

That's great news for all slots fans and promises very exciting times ahead!

Remember, you can play all of the Microgaming titles at the Mega Moolah casinos.
