Casino Rewards winners: February 2020

February is one of the shortest months in the calendar, even in a leap year, but that didn't stop players at Casino Rewards netting more than a jackpot a day on average across the 29 days. A total of 32 players celebrated sizeable wins at the network over the course of the month, which while a slight drop from January, is still a great return.

The month was an absolutely crucial one for Microgaming too, with both the Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah slot, which was given a limited release in January, and the new 2 million seeded Wheel of Wishes slot both being handed their general release during February to really bolster up the progressive jackpot offerings at Microgaming.

We are still waiting for the first big money winner on any of the million-plus paying games in the new decade, but there were still plenty of big winners throughout February as you can see from the headline data from the month below.

Casino Rewards Progressive Pay Outs - February 2020

• Once again we did not see any million-plus jackpot winners throughout February, despite the fact that there were three up for grabs in total (the Mega Moolah progressive, the Wowpot Jackpot on Wheel of Wishes and the Major Millions jackpot prize, which has been at over 2 million for a large part of the month).
• The biggest winner in February landed a prize of over €119,000 and once again, this winner came on the Treasure Nile slot.
• There were six fewer winners in February 2020 (32) compared to January (38) but the top prize was higher than that awarded in January and generally the amount of money won across all the big winners throughout both months was generally comparable.
• Two days in February saw three jackpots claimed and they were the 20^th of February and the 28^th of February.
• There were considerably more winners in the first half of the month (19) than there were in the second (13). That despite having the two days with the most winners in the second half of February.
• There were a number of days which saw two jackpot prizes awarded and these were the 1^st, 4^th, 5^th, 9^th, 10^th, 11^th, 14^th and 21^st of February.
• The days which saw a single jackpot win claimed were the 2^nd, 3^rd, 7^th, 8^th, 12^th, 16^th, 18^th, 19^th, 25^th and 29^th
• No jackpot prizes were claimed on the 6^th, 13^th, 15^th, 17^th, 22^nd, 23^rd, 24^th, 26^th and 27^th of February.
• February saw a rare SupaJax winner claim a prize of over 40,000.
• As yet, we are still waiting for the first Wheel of Wishes big money progressive slot player to land their top prize at a Casino Rewards network casino.
• The smallest prize won this month was a Canadian Dollar prize of CA$9,310.35 won on the 20^th The Cash Splash jackpot was won twice on that day, with this being the second of those two wins.

Which Casinos and Games Generated Big Winners in February 2020?

For four months in a row, Grand Mondial Casino has either been top of the list when it comes to the number of winners produced in a month, or it has shared the honour with other casinos. However the data for February shows a very different picture with a new casino now sitting atop of these rankings.

Eight casinos in total paid out big money prizes in February 2020, two fewer than in January, but we did see one casino give us more single winners than any other in January, with Zodiac Casino's 9 winners one of the highest number of winners a single casino has produced in a month. Yukon Gold Casino put in another strong showing with seven winners, both well ahead of Cosmo Casino on third. Let's now take a look at which games were the ones paying out big money this month and in this data, we are once again going to split Atlantean Treasures and Mega Vault Millionaire away from the original Mega Moolah slot, even though all share the same progressive jackpot prize fund.

Once again, we saw six games pay out winners in February with a rare SupaJax winner joining the main five games that tend to pay out winners more regularly. There were fewer Cash Splash winners this month which meant that with 10 wins, this game and Mega Moolah paid out the most winners in February. Atlantean Treasures also produced a strong showing, especially seeing as it was only generally released that month with 6 winners. Treasure Nile may have only had three winners, but they produced some of the biggest wins of the month. The Casino Rewards exclusive Mega Vault Millionaire saw two winners this month.

Once again it was a Euro currency player that landed the biggest win (and the second biggest win by a comfortable margin) at Casino Rewards in February, when it comes to the sheer number of wins, Canadian Dollars once again held sway landing 20 of the 32 wins, a strike rate similar to that of the 63% of wins landed bac in January.

Although the number of US Dollar winners increased by one in February from January from three up to four, the number of Euro winners decreased by three. Once again, there were a lack of British Pound winners for the fourth month in a row now. If we now look at the total amount of money won in each currency, then once again Canadian Dollars come top of the chart.

In terms of the actual amount won by Canadian players, we are down just over 100,000 from the amount won in January (although there were also four fewer Canadian Dollar winners in February, which probably accounts for this). The news is better for Euro players though as once again they saw over 300,000 in prizes awarded to their players, including the two biggest winners of the month by a considerable distance. Let's now average out each of the wins for each currency.

It is clear to see that although there were fewer winners using the Euro as their currency, the value of their wins far exceeded those of the Canadian and US Dollar. However, how do these results compare when you compare these values in a single comparable currency such as the British Pound, which is the base currency for all the Casino Rewards Network progressive jackpot games.

This data clearly shows that Euro players were the bigger value winners on average winning more than double what the typical winner in Canadian Dollars earned, with US Dollar winners also earning much more per win on average, almost £5,000 more, than their Canadian Dollar counterparts.

What were the biggest Casino Reward wins in February 2020?

As yet, we have not had a massive million-plus winner of any of the top jackpot prizes available in the Casino Rewards network in 2020. However, there were still plenty of big money winners throughout the month of February and with now three jackpot prizes (Mega Moolah, Wheel of Wishes and Major Millions) all well over the million mark (in fact, make that the 2 million mark), it seems only a matter of time before one or more players land a huge. With that in mind, here are the biggest money winners for February.

As with January 2020, we had just the one winner over the 100,000 mark this month, although that winner did land 10,000 more than the same winner back in January. There was winner just shy of that mark, pocketing over 97,000 but there was a greater drop off in the sizes of prize money throughout February than there have been in previous months.

In total, there were 21 winners of prizes up to 30,000 with 11 winners of prizes of over the 30,000 threshold this month.

Mobile vs Non-Mobile Winners in February 2020

In total we had 32 winners of jackpot prizes in February 2020, which is just six fewer than January and eight more than we managed across the entirety of December, which had two extra days. Certainly, in terms of the volume of winners, 2020 has proven to be a good year so far with 70 jackpots claimed across the first two months of the year, that is more than one per day.

I'd say that the February data is pretty typical in terms of the number of wins but what we have noted is that a larger percentage of wins in February came from mobile players. This is a trend that I feel is going to continue throughout the years and into the future as increasing numbers of players start to use their mobile device to access the Casino Rewards casinos and games. Indeed, in terms of percentage of wins, February was the most successful month for mobile players since we starting keeping track of the records as the data below shows.

There may have been six fewer winners of top jackpot prizes in February 2020 compared to January, but there were just two fewer mobile winners. In fact, there were 22 more mobile winners in the month than those that landed their prize on a desktop or similar. That is an incredible 84.4% of wins coming on mobile devices, which is the highest percentage of mobile wins in any month since we started keeping these records.

Going forwards, it is going to be interesting to see how new games such as Atlantean Treasures and Wheel of Wishes impact this data. March will be the first month in 2020 where both games have been generally available to all customers, rather than on a limited release for at least part of the month (as was the case in January and February). Does that mean we are likely to see a few more winners in March 2020? Do we also stand a chance of seeing the first big. Money Millionaire-plus winner of a top jackpot prize at Casino Rewards next month?
