Five amazing things a £4.7 million Mega Moolah jackpot win could get you
Today the Mega Moolah jackpot prize crept up to the £4.7 million as it continues to soldier on as I type. It's been a little while since we had our two winners in the space of two days and the jackpot has already started to grow into a sizeable figure that is already attracting plenty of interest from slots players keen to try and land the next big Mega Moolah jackpot win.
Of course, with the award of the jackpot being entirely random, there is no telling when the jackpot prize may next be won. It could be won before I finish writing this article, it could be won over the next few days, in a week, a month or it could not be triggered for several months, after which it will grow into a considerably larger cash prize.
However, while the £4.7 million jackpot, as it stands today, sounds considerably less than some of the massive prizes the game has awarded in recent times, it is still a huge amount of money and would almost certainly be life-changing for the person that won it.
So what exactly would a Mega Moolah win of £4.7 million buy you today? We decided to take a closer look and find out.
- Your own country pad
Currently for sale for offers over £1.5 million, is a fantastic 13-bedroom country house located in the Aberargie, Perth and Kinross region of Scotland.
This really is the house of your dreams as it boasts, 13 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 5 reception rooms and comes with 12.6 acres of mature lawns and a 4-vehicle garage. You could even opt to purchase an adjoining plot of 88 acres of mixed commercial woodland if you wanted to enquire.
As you would expect from such a luxurious pad, the house boasts a number of luxury items including its own snooker room, tennis court and even a separate detached cottage, set slightly away from the house so you could have guests over to stay.
If ever you wanted to see how the 'other half' live, then this would be the house to buy and best of all, you'd still have over £3 million of your fortune left to spend.
- A super car
Assuming you bought your own country residence like the one listed above, then you would want to travel to and from it in a bit of style and what better way to fill your 4-car garage than with a super car or two?
You can spend some silly money on these vehicles, the latest and most powerful Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari's for example can set you back over a million pounds. While you could afford, that it would be a large chunk of your budget, so I'd be looking for cars that are still super cars, but which are more affordable.
A Rolls Royce Phantom, for example, would set you back at least £500,000 (with some nice extras you just have to have). You can also find plenty of other super cars, including Ferrari's, Aston Martin's and Lamborghini's all within a similar price range - but why would you?!
For a little runaround to the supermarket, a sporty little Jaguar F-Type would set you back a further £50,000 while a similar amount could also get you a new Land Rover, which would be ideal if you fancy chewing the grass up around your country estate.
- Your own Florida villa
With Brexit having an effect on how easily (or more difficult) travel to Europe will be in coming years, Florida is coming back into vogue for British holidaymakers and there is no doubt that the best way for a newly-wealthy person to enjoy all the Sunshine State has to offer, would be by owning their own Villa to enjoy life.
Of course, as a holiday home, you wouldn't want to lavish the same amount of money that you have spent on your big new country-house, but the great news is that you can pick up many different 3, 4 and 5 bedroom villas in and around the Orlando, Kissimmee and Davenport regions, close to the many attractions in Central Florida for anywhere between $250,000 and $500,000 (£189,000 to £349,000).
If Disney is not your thing, then you can find similar places around the beautiful beaches of Clearwater on the Gulf of Mexico, or down in the Florida Keys and around the affluent areas of Naples.
- Your own boat
If a life on the ocean waves sounds like the best way to spend your new found wealth then you have some fabulous options available to you. Buying a boat brand new can be very expensive, and while you have plenty of cash to spend, you are not an oligarch who is able to spend tens of millions constructing their own super yacht.
The good news is that you don't necessarily need to unless you fancy a Swan. A quick glance through the boats available for sale on any reputable boat selling website reveals that you could pick up some fantastic bargains starting at just a few thousand pounds, or going up to half a million for a truly incredible seagoing craft.
One sail boat I found for sale is a Discovery 55, available for £525,000. This beautiful looking sail cruiser has cruised around Iceland, Greenland and Canada, as well as the Caribbean, and it's ready to go another round.
- Your own peace of mind
So imagine you have bought your own country pad, a couple of posh new cars, your own boat is now anchored in a local port and you are looking forward to heading away to your new holiday villa. At a conservative estimate, that little shopping spree could easily set you back around £3 million.
That means you would still have nearly £2 million of your winnings left, which you could then choose to invest to ensure that you can enjoy living the millionaire lifestyle for the rest of your days.
The fact of the matter is, for many Mega Moolah winners, or indeed any winner of a large amount of money, while the baubles and trinkets of that good fortune are lovely, there is nothing that can put a price on having the peace of mind that you have secured your own and your loved ones financial future for many years, perhaps even generations to come.
