Huge Major Jackpot win on the Wheel of Wishes slot!

Although the Wheel of Wishes slot has been on limited for release for a good few weeks before the slots official general release on the 11^th February, we have only seen players win the Mini and Minor jackpot prizes in the build-up to the release date.

Sure, there have been plenty of those winners, with a huge number of both Mini and Minor jackpot winners, but as yet there hasn't been anybody who has taken home a prize that would make your jaw drop when you won it.

That was until 9am on the 13^th February 2020, when the very first Major Jackpot winner on the Wheel of Wishes slot claimed a fantastic prize of around 329,307.95.

The Major Jackpot

The Major Jackpot on the Wheel of Wishes slot is, for me, the one that should perhaps have more attention on it than it should. Sure it is only the second largest jackpot prize available in the progressive game, as the Wowpot Jackpot is seeded at a cool 2 million, but the Major Jackpot offers a considerable sum of money, which surpasses many of the other top prizes you can find on some other progressive jackpot games.

First off, the Major Jackpot is seeded at 50,000. That is a huge amount of money for what is in effect, a secondary prize. In comparison, Mega Moolah's Major Jackpot is seeded at 10,000.

Furthermore, the early indications are that the Wheel of Wishes Major Jackpot may not be quite as easy to win. This means that the jackpot can grow to large amounts and it is interesting to note that since the game first had a limited release at the start of January, the cash available in the Major Jackpot has increased from 50,000 up to over six-and-a-half times that amount.

However, what is truly notable is that since the slot went on general release from the 11^th February, the jackpot prize rose considerably from just under 250,000 on the day of release, to over 320,000 when the prize was claimed just a couple of days later.

This clearly indicates that since its release, Wheel of Wishes has been a huge hit with players, as the more people that play and the greater the number of spins played on the slot, then the faster these progressive jackpot prizes will increase (and, the likelier it is that someone somewhere will trigger one of the big money prizes).

What do we know about this first big Wheel of Wishes progressive winner?

Unfortunately, seeing as the player only landed their win a couple of hours ago (at the time of writing), we still don't have any details on that win, which casino it was landed at and whether the player is going to go public or not with the win.

All we do know is the time and date it was triggered and that the player won 329,307.95. Given that the Major Jackpot prize reset to an amount of just over 50,000, my guess is that the first lucky player landed their prize using the Euro as their currency, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Currently, just a few hours after that win, the Major Jackpot now sits at over 56,000 and is rising once again.

In contrast, the Wowpot Jackpot is currently at 2.16 million at the time of writing and we have not yet had any indication of any trigger of this top jackpot prize, and we're pretty certain there will be a big hullabaloo when it does eventually happen.

How many other jackpots have been paid out?

We have had no Wowpot Jackpot winners as yet and just a couple of Major Jackpot winners so far on the Wheel of Wishes slot, yet when it comes to the Mini and Minor jackpots, there is much better news. You can see all the jackpot stats at WheelofWishes.net's Winners page.

Oddly enough, even though the Mini jackpot is the smaller one, this jackpot has actually been triggered one fewer time than the Minor jackpot. At the time of writing there have been a total of 99 winners of the Mini jackpot, the largest of which was a prize of 70.82 which was landed on the 5^th February.

However, there has been a round 100 winners of the larger Minor jackpot prize and two of those players have landed a prize of over 500.00. The first coming back on the 24^th January when a player won 506.82 and then on the 9^th February, the top Minor jackpot prize paid out increased to 551.77.

What is notable however is that for both the Mini and Minor jackpots, there has been a marked increase in the number of jackpots awarded of both types since the 11^th February, and this corroborates the data we have found with the Major Jackpot prize, which suggests that since its general release, a lot more players are playing the Wheel of Wishes slot.

When will the first Wowpot Winner claim their prize?

Of course, the thing every slot fan who wants to play or has played the Wheel of Wishes slot wants to know is when the first Wowpot progressive jackpot winner will be claimed. Unfortunately, seeing as nobody has yet won that jackpot prize, we cannot even give you an estimate as to when that is likely to be.

As with all progressive prizes, there is a high degree of randomness built in to any jackpot award and unlike the Mega Moolah slot, where we have many years of historic payouts to look back on to be able to gauge roughly how long it may be between jackpot winners, with the Wheel of Wishes slot, we do not yet have that.

Of course, Microgaming and Alchemy Gaming will be keeping the details of your chances of winning the 'big one' a closely guarded secret, so we can't gleam any information from there. What we can say is that we have now had 200 triggers of the Jackpot Bonus Wheel game and of that, only a couple of players have landed a Major Jackpot and none has landed the Wowpot prize.

So, in truth, the first big Wowpot! jackpot winner could be known in the next few minutes, the next few days, the next few weeks, the next few months, or maybe not for a year or more. Nobody knows when or where it will be claimed, but in truth, that is what makes playing a progressive all the more exciting.

And remember, all the time it is not claimed, the jackpot will continue to grow and even if you don't claim the big one, you could land the Major prize instead just like today's lucky winner.
