Mega Moolah and Major Millions jackpots are soaring!

Last month was a somewhat unusual one when it comes to the big progressive jackpot games on offer from Microgaming. It was the first month since November 2015 that neither the top Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize, nor the Major Millions progressive jackpot was won.

It's incredible to think that since November 2015, we have seen at least one of these jackpot prizes triggered each month, but a quick fact-check through the winning records of both of these massive slots reveals that this is indubitably the case.

Now of course, there are those that will feel that seeing two top slot games not pay out for a month isn't a good thing. After all, nobody wants to play a slot game that has seemingly gone cold. However, it is worth mentioning that while these slots may not have paid out their top progressive prizes, there have still been significant wins on these games of other progressive jackpot prizes (the Mini, Minor and Major progressive jackpots on Mega Moolah and the standard base game big prizes on Major Millions).

Therefore, these slots have not exactly shut down from paying people out some considerable sums of cash! In May alone, the Mega Moolah Major jackpot was triggered several times (on average this jackpot pays out once every two days) and one lucky player took home a top prize approaching 100,000 during May alone.

However, when a slot does not pay out a progressive jackpot for an extended period of time, then the good news for slot players is that the size of the progressive jackpot will grow and that is precisely what has happened on both the Mega Moolah and Major Millions games.

This means that at some point soon, a couple of lucky players are going to strike lucky on these games, but just how much will they win? Let's take a closer look at each game and find out.

Major Millions Progressive

  • Last Win - 1,047,545 - 15th April 2018
  • Current Jackpot.- 1,408,920 (and rising)
  • Average Win - 465,989
  • Smallest Win - 252,043
  • Largest Win - 1,945,884
  • Average Time between Wins - 46 days

The good news for jackpot hunters on the Major Millions slot is that we have now passed 50 days since the last Major Millions progressive jackpot was awarded, meaning that based on the average time between wins, the next big jackpot prize is overdue.

However, fans of this famous 3-reel or 5-reel slot may well be hoping that the jackpot isn't awarded at least for a little while. There have been several big wins on this slot of over 1,500,000 and the record win stands at just shy of the 2,000,000 mark. Will this current Major Millions progressive be the first one to break through into the magical 2 million territory?

It is worth noting that each of the last four wins on the Major Millions slot has been worth over a million, with the win that was landed in February of 1,895,851 being the second-largest win on the slot in its history. That means that at the moment, it seems that the Major Millions slot is following the lead of the bigger brother Mega Moolah slot and making its last few winners instant millionaires.

If you are a punter that likes to ensure they get a decent Expected Value (+EV) when playing slots then you will have already noticed that the Major Millions slot is offering +EV for players at the moment and with the jackpot still rising and as the next winner becomes seemingly even more overdue, that EV will only continue to rise.

The next big winner on the Major Millions slot is already guaranteed to win three times more than the standard average prize of just over 450,000. Could that lucky winner be you?

Remember, you can play for this jackpot prize for just 3.00 per spin on either the 3-reel or 5-reel versions of the game at any of the top Microgaming Casinos listed on the Where to Play page.

Mega Moolah Progressive

  • Last Win - 1,778,226 - 20th April 2018
  • Current Jackpot.- 5,861,461 (and rising)
  • Average Win - 3,741,415
  • Smallest Win - 1,013,791
  • Largest Win - 13,212,882
  • Average Time between Wins - 64 days

In a way, it is not surprising that there has been a little break in between the Mega progressive jackpot being won the Mega Moolah slot. The last jackpot was triggered on the 20th April, but prior to that, it was also won on the 19th April, with just 22 hours between both jackpot wins.

Statistically speaking though, that was something of a fluke and indeed the sheer number of progressive jackpot wins throughout 2017 (when there were a total of 12 wins across the year, more than double the amount of any other year in terms of progressive jackpot wins on the slot) is also something of an anomaly.

The average time between wins on Mega Moolah has come down in recent times due to those wins, but still remains around the 64 days mark, which is essentially just over two months between jackpot wins.

What is interesting however is that although the jackpot was last won a little six weeks ago, the actual Mega Moolah progressive jackpot figure is rising rapidly. We have already well passed the average win size for the game (which stands at just over 3.7 million) and for those players that like to play slots when they have a +EV, Mega Moolah is certainly one to watch.

As the jackpot has grown to reach 6,000,000 mark (and change) and then what you will find is that the jackpot will grow exponentially faster as a greater number of people try their luck on the slot in the hope of winning the top prize. Of course, more spins means more chances that the jackpot could be won, but it also means that if it is not won, then the value of the prize will grow even more quickly than it has over the past few weeks.

There is always the possibility however that the jackpot could climb very quickly in this period and if it does and that jackpot remains elusive, it could climb even higher. Remember, the largest ever win on the Mega Moolah progressive was Jon Heywood's £13,212,882 win back in October 2015, which is still the Guinness World Record for the biggest ever win on an online slot.

The jackpot currently has a way to go before that record is threatened but with more people sure to play the game over the coming weeks, you can bet that unless the jackpot is triggered, people will start to talk about a potential new World Record win.

You can give yourself a chance to land this progressive jackpot from just 0.25 per spin at any of the top casinos available at Mega Moolah casinos.
