Mega Moolah Progressive Jackpot hits 11 million - When will it be won?
It has been a couple of months now since we last celebrated a big money winner on the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot network of games. Back in May, the jackpot was landed three times in relatively quick succession, once on the 8th May for 13.6 million, then again on the 24th May for 9.9 million and finally three days later on the 27th May for 4.4 million.
This was only the second time in the game's history that we had seen three winners in a single month and with over 28 million paid out in jackpot prizes alone, and the jackpot amount dropping down to around 2.5 million after that third and final win in May, we did wonder when the next big winner would be.
Well, we don't have the answer to that question just yet, but what we do have is another landmark being hit in the game as earlier today the jackpot crashed through the 11 million mark once again.
The golden range for Mega Moolah wins
This could be an exciting period for players as we are now in what is something of a 'golden range' for the progressive jackpot prize. What do I mean by that? Well a quick look through the nine wins that we have had of 10 million or more reveals that the six of those wins have all been for amounts that fall in the sweet spot range of between 10 and 14 million.
Only three wins have fallen beyond those amounts and this data would tend to suggest that when the jackpot reaches the point of being between 10 and 14 million, there is a 66% chance that the jackpot is going to be triggered.
Of course, the figures don't work out that way and you can't use past performance on the Mega Moolah slot as an indicator of future results, the game is entirely random and it will simply pay the jackpot out when the correct random number is selected in the Jackpot Bonus Game, but these past results do give players playing the game now some hope that the jackpot could be landed soon.
In fact, another look at the data seems to suggest that 11.6 million is the sweetest spot of all as there have been two jackpot prizes landed at that amount, somewhat oddly coming one after the other to Canadian Dollar players, The first win coming on the 28th August 2016 with the second on the 5th November 2016.
So, will the Mega Jackpot be won soon?
This is of course the 11 million dollar question at the moment and all we can say is that while the evidence suggests that this particular period is a somewhat fecund time for jackpots to be won, there is no way of knowing that the jackpot will be won at the 11 million mark.
The nature of the Mega Moolah slot is that its top prize award is entirely random. It can happen at any time, to any player, on any spin, using any currency, anywhere in the world. There could be mere minutes between jackpot winners, or there could be months. We do know the jackpot will be won again, but beyond that we cannot predict anything concrete.
And while we cannot say for certain that the past data of jackpot pays out will influence any future wins, it is comforting to know for players that the Mega Moolah jackpot has tended to pay out at around this 11 million mark in the past.
In truth, the jackpot could be won in the next five minutes, or it may go on for another five months or more. We just don't know. All you can do is keep on spinning in the hope of being the one that is fortunate enough to land a shot at the prize.
What could explain the number of Jackpot Wins between 10 and 14 million?
Of course, chance plays a huge role in deciding when the Mega Moolah jackpot is won, as we have already outlined above, but are there some other reasons which could explain why this range is a particularly good one for producing jackpot wins?
I believe that there are. What you do tend to see with the Mega Moolah top jackpot prize is that when it climbs to these higher amounts, and particularly when that psychological barrier of the 10 million mark is breached, this does encourage more players to play the game.
There are lots of reasons for this. Players tend to be more attracted to higher jackpot prizes, so as the jackpot climbs, you tend to notice the jackpot rises even more quickly. This acceleration is simply down to more players playing more spins on the slot because the jackpot is much more attractive, and some may well believe (erroneously) that the jackpot "is going to be won shortly for sure."
However, the effect of more players playing more spins on the Mega Moolah slot affects more than the value of the jackpot and its increasingly rapid inflation in value. More players playing more spins mean more Random Number Generator triggers and as such, there is more chance that someone will land that lucky spin that turns out to be the progressive jackpot top prize winner.
It is this aggregation of the number of spins being played on the game increasing due to the number of people playing increasing, plus those playing having more spins to try and win the jackpot prize, which I believe means we have seen a number of winners between the 10 and 14 million mark.
However, there is more than enough scope within the Mega Moolah slot for the jackpot to climb higher than this. We have seen prizes of over 16, 19 and 20 million also paid out, which shows that the jackpot will not necessarily be paid out at this amount and does have potential to go even higher.
