Fortunium Gold is not only another Mega Moolah game, but it is also the second game in the exciting Fortunium series of slots. It is abundantly clear with the direction Microgaming have taken with the release of games like Atlantean Treasures and Absolootly Mad in particular, that the company was keen to give players many different ways to win the Mega Moolah slot using different types of slot games and different bonus features and they have continued that with the Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah slot which features a number of 'firsts' for the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot network.

In Fortunium Gold, in the base game and Free Spins, players can land stacks of Mystery Symbols on the reels. These symbols will, at the end of a spin, resolve themselves to display one of the symbols on the reels in the game and when they do, it can trigger a sizeable win, especially if it matches with Wilds or with similar symbols on the other reels.
However, if the Mystery Symbols reveal themselves to be the special Jackpot Wild symbol, then this means you have triggered the Jackpot Bonus Wheel game and you will get to spin the newly designed Fortunium Gold Jackpot Bonus Wheel to win one of the four progressive jackpot prizes. Each time one of the four progressive jackpot prizes is won on the Mega Moolah network, you will hear a bell ring in the game, which again is a nice new touch.
Speaking about Mystery Symbols is the perfect opportunity to explore one of the other new features in Fortunium Gold that has not been on another Mega Moolah progressive and that is the Win Booster button. If you select this button, your bet size will increase by 50% (So if you played Min bet, it would increase from 0.10 to 0.15, but on Max Bet, it increases from 15.00 to 22.50). But the benefit to you is that any Mystery Symbols you land will only show the higher value base game symbols, or Wild symbols on the reel, with the lower value symbols omitted.
The lower value symbols in the game are the playing card symbols the club, diamond, heart and spade, and these offer wins from 0.1x your bet up to 2x your bet (assuming you play in standard mode). The higher value symbols include the gun, airship, treasure chest plus Victoria and Maxilmillian symbols and these offer wins from 0.4x your bet up to 8x your bet.
All symbols in the game are stacked at least two symbols high but the two highest value standard symbols, Victoria and Maximillian, are stacked five symbols high. Mystery Symbols can also be stacked up to five reels high.
Fortunium Gold also features two Wild symbols. The first is the standard Wild (denoted by a W) which can be landed anywhere across the reels and which can form its own pay line wins. However, it is more often used as a substitute symbol to help players combine with other symbols to land wins.
The Jackpot Wild can only be landed on the Mystery Symbols and in addition to triggering the Jackpot Bonus Game, it also acts as a Wild symbol and before the bonus game is played, if this symbol creates any wins in your triggering spin, these will be paid out before you spin the Jackpot Bonus Wheel. As with the standard Wild, the Jackpot Bonus Wild can land on any of the five reels and offers its own pay lines (that are the same value as the standard Wild symbol).
Fortunium Gold's Jackpot Bonus Wheel
As is the case with all Mega Moolah games, the Jackpot Bonus Wheel is redesigned to fit into the theme of the slot you are playing and in this game, the Jackpot Bonus Wheel is designed to look like a cog to fit in with the Steampunk theme.
The colours on the wheel are Orange, which is the Mini jackpot, Red, which is the Minor, Gold, which is the Major and the White Gold which is the single Mega jackpot sector. As with other games, the wheel is not actually representative of showing your true chances of winning each jackpot prize, it is just the device used to display the outcome of the random number generator that does decide which of the four jackpot prizes you win.
Fortunium Gold is a fantastic addition to the Mega Moolah family of games.
